I think you also get $20 store credit unless that has ended

    • Yes. That's right. The offer ends Friday 16th.

      • Details of $20 store credit please?

        • +2

$20 store credit when you click & collect, all the info is on their homepage

        • @TRENT86: Thank you Trent86.

  • Cannot find it on TGG site

Thanks man, been looking for a decent Nespresso machine for a while.

  • +2

Thanks op. Picked one up. Great price.

  • +8

I got one a few weeks ago at the same price. Love it. My only advice is dont bother with the bluetooth stuff, while you can make a coffee from your phone, for the most part it is a continual alert telling you to buy more pods.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Cheers for this! Been considering a coffee machine for a while now, luckily didn't spend $79 on an Aldi machine. Price is awesome so picked one up.
Looked at all other stores and they are selling the same for $350+.

    • The Aldi k-fee capsule is cheaper and taste good.

  • Anyone got price matched at Myer/David Jones?

    • I was able to have this price matched at Harvey Norman for the base price (from $339 to $169 before cash-back). If you had the AmEx deal, it would be much sweeter. Take note that the customer service at HN does not know a thing about the ongoing $70 cash-back. Just be persistent.

    • from the last deal, i tried, and it was below Myer's cost price so they wouldn't price match

    • Also, you'll miss out on the TTGs 20$ store credit (which expires today, in less than an hour, unfortunately).

    • no chadstone Myer refused

    • I got this price matched at David Jones Chatswood

Is it coming with milk frother?

  • Yes

  • got one of these just recently from the same deal great machine

if you have an Amex sign up to the nespresso deal. I think it was $20 back from an $80 spend
used that deal to buy all the pods

    • Can you get Nespresso to price match TGG?

      • Lol doubt it.

  • Nice timing , My Saeco died last week so this will tide me over till I come across a great deal on a bean machine .
Who knows I might find some pods that i enjoy . I haven't been too impressed with ones I've tried elsewhere though .

    • I've got the Pixie machine and quite frankly I don't quite enjoy the coffee either as I normally buy cafe standard coffee powder…

I have found this on eBay but I have not try it myself…see if this's going to suit you.

Try to search "Stainless Steel Refillable Reusable Coffee Capsule for Nespresso Machine" on eBay.

      • Well I just arc'd it up using the legit nespresso pods and have to say it's a rough facsimile of a real coffee . Having used a bean machine for the past 4 years I think I'm now ruined . I'll try a few more pods but ultimately I think I'll just pay the money for another proper bean machine .

  • Significant difference between this price and Myer @ $399… Clearing stock? Owners - any issues?

  • +3

Thanks OP. Xmas shopping done :D Bought 2 - One for me and one for my parents.

Got $30 store credit aswell :D

So essentially $84 for each machine :D

Edit: Dammit!!! If I did 2 separate orders, I would've got 2*$20 credit instead of just $30, making it $74 per machine. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

    • hi there
what store credit is this you're referring to?

        • awesome! cheers
          ordered one! :)

        • @b00tyman: No probs :)

        • Somehow when i click on it… nothing apoears on the good guys website.. i have got an order confirmation..can i get the cash back now or do i need to wait to collect it..

        • @karmachakra: Are you referring to the store credit or the cash back? The store credit offer expired yesterday. For the cash back you need to go to
          https://www.nespressopromotion.com.au/YEP2016/cashback/main

        • @Ronney: im referring to the good guys store credit… if i purchased.on friday.. then will i get the store credit…?

        • @karmachakra: Looks like they have extended the store credit promotion till 21st Dec. However you will not receive the store credit immediately. According to T&C
"3. By Friday 30th December 2016’ the store credit will be sent out to the purchaser’s nominated email address. You will not need to claim your store credit."
I ordered something last Friday and yet to receive the store credit.

    • Call the store. (Most stores open till 9pm today). They might allow you to re-order. The manager at the Hoppers Crossing store is a great guy and let me do that once during an eBay 20% off promo.

Edit: Dammit!!! If I did 2 separate orders, I would've got 2*$20 credit instead of just $30, making it $74 per machine. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

An overall saving of $10 would make each machine $79, no?

  • Considering Pixie is normally a bit cheaper ($10) than Prodigio, what's the consensus on which one is better? I'm not too fussed about the Bluetooth capability.

    • +1

Don't think they have much difference…we've got an unknown brand at work around $50 from Woolies and the coffee turns out pretty much the same…at least I cannot tell the difference except Nespresso machine looks nicer.

      • Do they use the same pods?

        • I used the same Nespresso compatible pod at work and home.

  • Awesome, I was waiting for a deal like this! Thanks

First connected machine? What does that mean? Didn't the U Milk connect the Aeroccino with the machine?

Is this an even cheaper model than Inissia, which was the previous entry level model?

EDIT: Ok now I know what they mean. It can connect to your smartphone via Nespresso app. But it's totally gimmicky. There's nothing in the app that is essential. You can make a coffee from your phone. But that's about as useful as an eject button on your remote. You still need to insert the capsule, mix the milk with the coffee, add sugar, set up the water jug and milk, etc. Not to mention collect the coffee. In other words, you still need to get up and go to the machine.

    • +1

I tried connecting for about 30 seconds with no success . I didn't feel as though it was worth any more of my time .
It's a pretty weak gimmick . More a scam to get you into ordering your pods from their website . I think the whole economic model of these pod machines closely resembles that of inkjet printers. With even more landfill waste .

      • If it's connected by Bluetooth and not wifi, then the range will be poor and you'll still have to be pretty close to it for your phone to connect. At that point, may as well walk up to it and press the button.

        • +1

Just brewed my first coffee from the app. Don't know why I would do this often

        • @frogger081: Because it's the 'cool' thing to do I guess.

They need gimmicks to get people who already have a pod machine to buy another. The TV industry is doing the same. LCD, LED, HD, FHD, 3D TV, Smart TV, UHD, HDR, SUHD, etc.

I have just redeemed the cash back offer. You can choose the $70 cash or $95 worth of pods. I chose pods as I pr get genuine anyway.

  • I have a silly question. Would Aldi Pods work in this machine or you have to buy Nespresso ones? If Nespresso only then where can you get them cheap?

    • +1

Probably not… I think it only works with the machine Aldi sale.

Woolies / Coles both sale Nespresso compatible pod and I grab some last week from Woolies while it was on sale $3 for 10 pods…it tastes pretty average only.. :/ I bought it for the convenience only. Ultimately I need to get one of those reusable stainless steel capsule and fill it with the good coffee powder

      • Thanks heaps, I didnt know reusable stainless Steel capsule existed. Where do you get them from?

        • +2

Try to search "Stainless Steel Refillable Reusable Coffee Capsule for Nespresso Machine" on eBay

They have 1st / 2nd generation… I think the 2nd generation looks much better / improve?!… not sure as I don't have one myself yet.

I believe there will be more manufacturer working on it soon. I have been hesitate to get one of this pod machine as the waste they produce is massive…until I saw this reusable coffee capsule (not plastic stainless steel) I decided I get one of this pod machine. :)

PIcked one up from HN Fountain Gate - Price matched TGG $169.

With $70 cashback and HN Amex Deal, the machine came to about $49 :D amazing value, cheers OP.

  • +1

Amazing deal if you're looking for one of these. I always have my hand on the trigger but the reality is that they don't taste as good as my local coffee shop and I only drink coffee once or twice a week. Nonetheless, it's always difficult to pass up a bargain lol

  • How long does it take to receive your cashback??

    • Week or two when I did it a few years ago.

    • I got a couple of machines from the last promotion. Submitted my claim on Dec 2nd, approved on Dec 5th and paid into my CBA account on Dec 8th.

  • Picked mine up yesterday, thanks OP
It came with 1 attachment for the frother, my previous nespresso frothers always came with 2. 1 for heating milk and a second one for frothing.
Anyone who's opened theirs yet get 2?
    Thanks

    • Hi there. The new machines have a "2 in 1" frothier attachment. The spiral metal part for cappuccinos slides off it leaving the flat white attachment.

      • Thanks so much!

    • I assume you mean the whisk? They are both for frothing. One for latte and one for cappucino I think. Cappucino produces more froth. I lost my cappucino whisk, which is a circular coil.

  • Picked mine up today and gave it a swirl. I must say that I can't taste the difference between this one and the Aldi's $79.95 one lol. Still a bargain but :)

  • Does someone know how you go about getting the $20 gift card for buying this in that click and collect promotion?

Staff at shop said it should be emailed, but I have not received anything yet

    1. By Friday 30th December 2016’ the store credit will be sent out to the purchaser’s nominated email address. You will not need to claim your store credit.
  • May I ask anyone who has claimed their cash back how to get the tax invoice number/ receipt number? as I can't find anything about it on the Receipt/Tax Invoice I got from the good guys, I'm stuck in the last step to claim cash back…

    • I used the sales order no on the tax invoice starting with a S

  • Does anyone know if the Good Guys Ebay store is eligible for the cashback as well?

    • It should be because the invoice you receive will be a standard Good Guys receipt that you can use for your claim.

    • But you won't get the $20 store credit, which is only for Click and Collect purchases (and it expires today, I think).

  • Reckon I could sell on gumtree for $99 after claiming the $70? Considering using my store credit to get this. I don't really see anything I need to buy at Good Guys right now. Could use the $..

  • Looks like it's back to $169 again until 5 Jan.

    • No one created a deal so I've just made one. Ta

  • Thanks OP. This is still available in store at Good Guys. I just picked one up. Now to decide on cash back vs pods.
