you get quite a few of these vouchers in the entertainment book each year…

    • +2

      3 to be precise

      • +3

Perth gets all of one 👎

      • +1

Greater Sydney digital edition only gets 2 vouchers.

      • I've got Brisbane edition, sorry to hear other places get less. Combined $30 back pays for almost half the entire price of the Book which is great

      • 2 to be precise (in North Sydney edition and CBD)

    • +1

Anyone know if it stacks up with this voucher?

      • its basically the same voucher, so I would say no.

  • Thanks OP. Any official link to the voucher or did you receive this via email?

    • +2

No worries. Received via email. Email contained a link to download voucher.

  • How do we get this guys?

  • Tnx OP…but amend it please:
it is valid until 24th Dec, not from 24th

    • Done :)

  • +1

    Should we print this voucher?

    • +1

      Don't think so
I received the email the voucher doesn't have a barcode just a serial number
so just have the voucher on phone should be ok

    • Just show the PDF. Did it this morning

    • Phone is fine

  • Can anyone share, if we have to take print out of this? Or can show on the mobile?

    • +1

Doesn't say anywhere on the email that it needs to be printed. There's a PLU code down the bottom of the voucher that they need to type in at the register, so should be fine to show on your phone.

  • Ok Will dload this and give it a shot. Thanks!

  • +2

    Phone is fine

  • I can see this being abused

  • Fantastic deal

  • +3

whats NHS? isn't that in UK?

  • +1

There is no NHS in Australia

    • +4

Theres no dollars in the UK either

  • PBS

Not accepted at chemist warehouse hurstville. They claim it's a fake from ozbargain

    • +2

The franchise owner is a douche bag obviously.

    • +2

The manager at hurstville is terrible. Incredible cheap, wouldn't even exchange a cologne I bought that had a broken spray cap. Said I would have to just deal with it being as is (meaning i couldn't get any of the cologne out!)

    • Mate says voucher works there now.

      • He reads OzBargain comment obviously.

    • The one in Westfield asked for hard copy (print out), I said to them nice try. :)

    • which store? Inside Westfield or on Forest Rd?

  • +1

This looks sus. No NHS in Australia, and I doubt a major pharmacy chain would get that wrong. The asterix leads to no disclaimer either.

  • Not accepted at bondi westfield.

Staff asked for the original email,
    which apparently i don't have.

    • What was your comeback?

      • +3

        Saw it on OzBargain….

      • +1

        I couldn't do much when the cashier's supervisor gave a no-go.

Literally, I told him that my friend sent me the offer and I will double check with him then "come back" again.

        • BTW, the cashier tried the PLU code in the fist place but it didn't work.

        • Interesting. Yeah I don't know why supervisors/management can't adopt a more "laissez-faire" approach. Always make things hard for people looking for genuine discount. It's like if they approved then it comes directly out of their pockets. Man you ain't stealing, you effectively bring business to them with an intention of making use of an existing discount offer.

This is why I always peruse the T&Cs and the little catch details to ensure I get exactly the offer if I decided to go to the store.

Did you still end up buying the $50 worth of products, or just dump the stuff there and walk out?

Edit: It's good you got the cashier to try punch in the code. What I said above is only in general.

        • +1

          @sky blu:
What I told him is I would come back later.
What I didn't tell him is only if the offer is accepted.

Now I'm waiting to see if any nearby stores honour the offer.

        • +6

@kenyo: 1 plus for your persistence. Good luck bro 👍

If rejected again say to the suited doorman on your way out "Tell your manager to watch out for drive-by"

    • +3

So just email it to yourself put "Chemist Warehouse" as the sender in the name :D

  • +2

Worked fine @ Eastwood. No questions asked. She just punched in the PLU code.
    Thanks op!

    • Not working at eastwood anymore. They're asking to see the original email. They don't know who was meant to get the email and was guessing it was for people who registered with the chemist warehouse app.

      • I used it at CW Epping an hour ago…. No questions asked..

  • -6

Change the PLU to 949945 and it will work for sure with no (or very long) expiry.
Maybe we can create some home-made vouchers using the entertainment book code so unwitting cashiers will just punch in the code and hand out the discount.

    • Also called fraud, one thing sharing a legit voucher, quite another making one up…..

      • "Sharing" or duplicating a legit voucher that was not intended for your use sounds equally sketchy to me.

  • Had some problem in Brisbane …. they say they need to see the original email link, so I say enter the PLU

Really depend on the Sales Counter person.

    Be nice

    • Did it work at last?

      • Yap,

  • +1

Fine at bankstown, worked on prescription as well

  • Worked thanks…

    • Just show it in your phone. They don't recognise it at the beginning but show them the PLU code at the bottom of the coupon. If asked where you get it from say by email.

  • Worked at Maroubra Junction, according to one of my friends.

  • I'm guessing HR has not yet told every chemist warehouse location about this offer, I'd give it a day or two and go try again.

  • +1

Best to ask the cashier before you filling up your shopping basket.

  • +1

Cashier at Cannington WA was quite reluctant however another colleague of hers, a gentleman name Renalto or something was very helpful n came to our rescue.

Worked fine for me here in Adelaide. Went to the store in the CBD(Gawler Pl). They just wanted me to email the voucher to them. Thanks OP!

    • +1

That's a first. They wanted you to email them their voucher?

      • +1

haaha yeah..didn't check for the original email like many have pointed out above

    • Oh dammit now we can't use it anymore!!

      • +1

        haven't emailed it yet..you're alright mayt! ;)

  • +1

    Worked at Doncaster Chemistwarehouse

    • Whats your thoughts on that store?

      • They accepted the voucher shown on the phone. But they asked me to leave my name and number…. donno for what

        • +6

The wife and I had to buy quite a few items for the home and gifts. We split the items and used this twice.
Both downloaded this on our phones. They accepted it without drama.

So we saved $20 on a total of $161. Could have probably saved another $10 if we had another person with us LOL

    Thanks OP!

This happened at Chadstone Mall Melbourne.

    • Malls only in US ! Shopping Centres in Australia :P

      • +1

'Chaddy Mall' to those in the area, or at least that's what it was back when I was living in Melbourne (admittedly quite some time ago). And is the Melbourne GPO located on 'Bourke St Shopping Centre'?

      • 8 months since we moved from Texas…It still needs some getting used to Y'all!

  • +1

worked at CW @ FTG , operator punched in the PLU code twice and it worked both time. save $20. thanks

  • Used at Springvale (Victoria), worked just fine (after a few small arguments with the sales person)

  • worked for me without any issues, just took a pic of this voucher and showed at the register. thanks for sharing.

  • Worked at Preston VIC

  • Guy at the checkout looked a bit funny about it, but accepted it in the end. Bondi Junction (Spring St).

    Thanks OP!

  • Worked for me with a fair bit of haggling in Rocklea, QLD.

  • Worked @ Australia Fair, Southport

  • Worked at Derrimut village shopping centre in Vic. The girls there were happy to accept it and we used it twice in two seperate transactions.

  • Worked in Redwood. Initially they declined it saying someone else used it already yesterday, but I insisted to have an official reason and an employee name. After 2 minutes of consultation they decided it's valid. :)

  • Has it worked for anyone at Epping, Eastwood, Parramatta or Castle Hills store?

  • I tried to use it at the Parramatta store clerk had to get a manager to ring up the discount. The manager said he won't honour screen shots or PDF's. He wanted me to show him the original email.

    • Was this in westfield or the other store in Parramatta?

      • +1

It's located on Church St.in Parramatta

  • Worked at CW Epping NSW…

  • Anyone have original email?
