  • worked in woolloongabba, Brisbane. no dramas, just showed the girl the image and said id received it in an email :)

I went to Woolloongabba around 3.30 pm yesterday. The girl at the counter wasn't sure. She checked with the manager who was happy for me to use it!

  • Did not work at Glen Waverley CWH on Springvale Road, they requested original email! Anyone keen to share how they received the email (or even better the email itself…)?

  • How I can email this link to myslef pls?

  • Tried successfully at one store in Adelaide. I played it safe by asking if they honour this voucher when I first entered the store. The check out lady had some similar print out of this deal under her desk and checked against it. I think I was the first person using this voucher lol. She was then happy to proceed it.

Then I went to another store, assuming it would work again so I didn't check with the check out staff and just grabbed few things I needed. He asked me to have the voucher print out so they can attach it to the reciept and send it to the head office??? I guess I will try to print it out and hopefully it will still work next time.

  • Used without issue from PDF on my phone. Just got them to enter the PLU code. Thanks OP.

  • Email sent out by Head Office to stores. Won't be accepted without original email.

    • Bad form - I received the email but did not have it with me just a printed copy, no discount no sale. I`ll try and find another chemist from now. :)

What does the email say? For research purposes of course..

  • Thanks OP, worked for me just then without the email at Ascot Vale.

  • Refused at Box Hill without email.

  • Used today without email at Belmont WA. 4:30pm.

  • Rejected at randwick without email.

They even put a handwritten note next to the keyboard,
    "Fraud 10% voucher" bla bla.

A supervising woman told her team and to my face,
"See, that's what I told you about. You must see the original email…."

Guess I'm running out of luck with CW.

  • Still working in Vic, just avoid Box Hill as they are really strict about the email now.

  • Haymarket (George Street) is strict with the email. Went there and they asked me for the email. Didn't get the $10 discount pffft…

    • Same here

    • Any chance you can take a screenshot of the email and blur out your details? I'm struggling to read the html.txt :\

      -edit-
remove .txt at the end of the file to view the webpage.

      Thanks!

    • What was the subject of the original email? Thanks!

      • A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR YOU

just showing them the "online version" of the email and the voucher on their website should work :)

  • The Chemist Warehouse close to my area is asking for a bar code. Told them that there is no bar code. They won't give the discount..

    • Should tell them the code is on the voucher (PLUxxxx)

      • The staff said, there should be a barcode that they can scan. Told them that the code is that PLUxxx and she tried to scan that! Gave up on this store and went to another store. The other store just asked me for the email which I can produce thanks to tonester/OP.

        • How? There is no barcode on that email? Will this work?

CW Casula a couple days back also asked for email and weren't able to give me the discount, despite me telling them about PLU code, she insisted it wouldn't work if she punched it in and there had been a few customers before me with the same issue.

I need to purchased about $200 worth of stuff from CW, so even if I can do this twice for $20 discount would be great

        • @scar4ace: Of course it won't work. Some staff was just being silly or not read the circulated email properly. Just try to go to another store and have the email ready, just in case..

@amsut1: Your experience makes me remind a topic in this form about Chemist Warehouse 1 year ago. When I commented that the staff work in the Chemist Warehouse is not professional and really silly comparing to other reception people in Australia, everyone reply me that is not true or that's my problem. Here is a typical example of how silly they are. And what even worse is if she don't know how to do it she can just call the manager but she is just too lazy to do so. They are spoiled by those oversea buyers just like Bellamy's.

what is the subject for original email? Thx

    • just use CW's news letter email address as the subject. I guess the original subject is Chemist Warehouse. And then change the sender's name to CW.

      • Thanks a lot! However, in many CW the staffs have begun to check ID whether matches email address because they have got name list from head office. I tried many CW and just only one works, and now it depends on fortune. Thanks for tonester's help again!

      • Today I used the email with subject header you gave to have another try in one CW, and succeed again! Thanks for your subject header and Merry Christmas!

  • Worked at Windsor, Brisbane

  • Worked at Preston (VIC) - showed email (which I'd sent to myself after copying the html page above), showed a picture of the coupon and done.
