Olympus FE-26 12mpx camera $60 at Home HQ JB HiFi,

30

While in Home HQ Artarmon today, I saw a handful of Olympus FE-26 digital cameras for $60. It's a discontinued model so these are end of stock sellouts. Cheapest from a quick web search is about $100 elsewhere. Sorry, no docket or photo; I didn't buy one as I already have a snappy camera. No idea how good this model is. Hope this is useful to someone.

i work in retail and i sold a few for $50 , so not really a bargain

    • The price drops are amazing, this sort of camera was about $150 a couple of years ago. Looking ahead, I can predict that they will pay you to take the camera away in a couple of years more. So just wait a bit longer. :)

      • a couple years more is a fair while to wait :P

        • Yeah, but imagine the heap of cameras you could buy at negative prices. lol!

  • Money is made from the photos these days not the cameras

    • Really? I Wonder how much they make on those 9-15cent prints

      • That's probably why the photoprocessors are pushing premium items like photo mugs. The way things are going, only the older generation will want prints and it will be SOP to put your video on Youtube or whatever it's called by then.

Really? i didn't know Nikon, Canon, Olympus were in the photo processing business. It's probably news to them too.

@hotzone, you are assuming everyone who buys a camera prints out the photos-i just cull the duds and archive the rest on cheap dvd media!
if i like a few pics, i save them until a free photo offer comes along…

    • heh.. reminds me of someone running home behind a taxi..

although I have always wondered… why does there have to be a taxi ?

  • Very bad feedback about this model.Read user reviews before buying this model. May be not even a bargain for $20
