  • I'm struggling to see anything visually different between those two sets O_o

    • Colour and look at where the roof meets the side walls

  • The more expensive one seems a bit more open plan. The more expensive one is not available to WA. I wouldn't trust the photos or graphics for colour.

I agree! people have posted pictures in reviews on climbingframes website.

  • This guy is selling the used one. So you could have a look what it actually looks like:

It looks more haunted in his photo.

Good deal, was looking at these a while ago but was too expensive. Shipping is pretty costly though, $99 to my place

Yeah we got one that came with the house. They actually hold up pretty well even in QLD weather. We're considering to give it a new coat of oil now that it's a few years old but still going well otherwise.

time to break into the airbnb game.

"2 story timber house, open air planning, heaps of fun. great for swingers. easy access from 2nd story to ground floor. outdoor seating for that al fresco style. also perfect for family with young children"

  • Is the swing part required for stability? I just want the house part.

you can go for this at same price.

  • I bought one of these for my daughter.

Pro's: The plastic slide is well constructed.

Cons: I found the wood used to be completely rubbish. Splits easily and is super light weight. Make sure you cement it in. The first windy day you get it will topple over and explode into fragments. I have to tighten up most of the screws after the swing has been used as they work themselves loose. It's easy to over tighten the screws and drill right through the wood, even with the drill's clutch set to a reasonably low thresh hold.

The ones they have a Bunnings at the moment, while quite expensive seem to have superior construction and materials from the one i looked at in store. https://www.bunnings.com.au/swing-slide-climb-670-x-302-x-30…

    • My experience has been a lot better, although I'd say after 5 years it'll probably be cactus. We've had ours for 2 years, paid a similar price at Target. Yes the wood is quite soft so some care needs to be taken putting it together, but it's holding up quite well and I haven't oiled it yet (probably should) or tightened the screws. We live on a hill so it's fully exposed to some seriously strong Victorian winds and generally harsh weather, it's not concreted in but I found the small stakes they provide with the set to hold it in the ground weren't quite enough so I just screwed on a couple of additional small timber stakes from Bunnings and drove them into the ground at an offset and it's no chance of blowing away or collapsing.
The kids love it and have had hours of use from it. Just be aware they recommend allowing a day to put it together, but it took me almost 3 (although I'm no tradie, far from it) and that was with help.
