You compared refurbished with brand new?

and 3 months warranty vs 12 months on new ?

  • This is a good price for a Modem+N router device but I dun trust DLink due to its reliability lol!

    • Well I guess they will have a large number of units for sale then ….

    • DLINK = Overheats everytime.

  • mm is it really that bad t he dlinks ?

  • Not familiar with this model at all, but I'm currently using a D-Link DIR-655 router (draft N) which has worked quite well for me. I'm sure I'm not using its features to the fullest (as I'm not familiar with all the features) but from what I have used, it's worked quite well and I haven't had any issues with overheating or anything.

  • It appears to be only Draft N and 100mbit wired. Still a good price however.

    • EDIT Looks like I was wrong. Was waiting for proper standardised N for so long that I just assumed it'd never happen. Has been standardised since October 2009. /EDIT

Any wireless N is Draft N, as the 802.11n standard hasn't been finalised.

  • bought this modem like 2 years a go for $120, the 3 antennas do help the range ( unlike the revised edition which have internal antennas) the modem is still going strong, but rght now the draft N is nearing completion so probably wait it out for the wireless N to be officially out. this modem is pretty outdated with no dual band like the newer draft N modems (5ghz).

    • Mixology, since you've mention that this modem is pretty much outdated, do you know if theres another dlink to replace this one?

  • Is this a router or just wireless?

I bought a router and it turned out that it's not a router!
