That price is expired, it's now $63 shipped, and more if you have currency conversion fees which most people do. Not to mention digital means now, or at least as fast as you can download and not a week or so for delivery. Digital also means it can be shared to be played on two consoles at once, which halves the cost for those that applies to.

  • Yeh doesn't seem like much of a deal

    • Especially since you can't resell it.

Expect an additional day to download the digital version with ADSL vs patches for a disc. Play when ready vs disc without updates would be the same timeframe in this case unless PSN is down or slow Christmas day.

No deal, its cheaper on disc. Much cheaper if you can wait for the amazon delivery. Get them a gift card for the game. If you have kids maybe you can teach them some patience. It's priceless.

Play when ready vs disc without updates

How can you say that when your cheaper disc example is a week or so delivery from Amazon, which works out to be $6 or less cheaper.
Saying it's a bad deal for slow internet people is like saying a deal is bad because it's in a different state to you, it's not bad, just not suitable for you personally. That is an overnight download for me, and less for many others.

As per my post above, disc means one copy, digital means it can be shared and played on two consoles at once. Of course disc means you can trade (Aus versions only usually) or sell it, which you can't with digital.

Disc is best because you can resale and get money effectively subsidising your purchase

People always vote down this comment but it's completely true. If we factor that in, console gaming is actually cheaper than PC gaming.

They are upset for realising they wasted money on digital copy.

Only time I buy digital if the discount is so massive or if I know I'll keep the game forever

Target has it for $64 on boxing day

Edit: EB has it for $68 even so not really that good of a deal

    • EB/Target is selling the standard edition.
This is the Premium Edition which comes with a heap of bonuses

      • Ok no worries is it worth the bonuses?

        • It's relative I think

Get travel pack (automatic discount in game for accomodation stays, how u claim earned xp), heap of consumables and the like.
          Classic ffvii sword
Other stuff I can't remember. The travel pack alone is worth it imo

Thanks for this post as I had a bunch of PSN credit to spend so this worked out nicely.

"Day One Edition" is currently $52.79 AUD in the Canadian PSN Store which is probably the best price at the moment.

I skipped the original PS4, jump straight to PS4 Pro and got FFXV and dishonoured 2 for $39 each of course buying the console itself costs $559

But i bought Westfield giftcard x2, then JB hifi giftcard 5% off for the rest to get a bit of discount
