      It's called viral advertising and it's been employed by companies for a while. the Contagious network basically operate by getting its members to do stuff such as post things on Facebook.

    I wouldnt 'like' any corporate entity on my FB acct. Even at it's lightest it's just targeted marketing, let them do their own market research.

    Leave the marketing 'word farming' for the Twitterers :)

    Does anyone actually pay any money for mousepads? My local op shop had a box of them with a "take one free" sign on it. I think that's where all the ones with advertising (which is most of them) go do die so check there ;-) I What do these even look like?

        I can do that with my PC wallpaper/screensaver free and have it change too. Looking at these (http://www.artscow.com/gallery/mouse+pad) I think I'd prefer an ad on my free mousepad and not spam my friends FB feeds ;-)

    Obviously a lot of you don't have a facebook and don't use it often, for someone like myself or any of my friends, we use face book often.. And seriously this is nothing compared to the spam of groups or applications .. As for the mousepad it is free, with free postage and you can customize it, my mousepad turned out looking lovely and will put a smile on my grandmas face…
