Maybe they have too many failures and no one to service them this side of Aus.
On something this size they are required to pay shipping or organise the pickup and return from your house under warranty. (and in case anyone asks, here though I think Kogan does this anyway)
I had a coffee machine from them that failed under warranty
All they asked was for me to cut the power cable & email a photo of it cut.
Then they gave me the refund (but I did buy it when it was free delivery).
I'd be curious as to whether these have better panels and software than the Aldi $799 special.
