Breville Dual Boiler BES920 $798 and Breville Smart Grinder Pro $229 bought separately at Bing Lee ( Total $1027).
I actually got it for cheaper as I bought the display grinder for $200 ( he thought he didn't have any more grinder in stock) but the sales guy couldn't find a box for it so he gave me a brand new one for $200 (Total $998) . SCORE!

Also tried price matching the Breville Dynamic Duo set ($1298) but sales guy couldn't match it to $1027

      Ebay it.
      Cashrewards.
      Free delivery

    • Awesome, thanks for that. I had enough Commonwealth rewards points for $200 of myer gift cards. Free coffee grinder!

    • Furthermore, it could be had for $179.10 on 01.01.2017

If you have gift cards… as an idea Djs and myers may price match.

Picked up the same combo from the Good Guys this morning, who are also doing the BES920 for $798. Got them to price match Myer's $199 for the Smart Grinder. Been mucking around with it all day and really pleased (although now very wired on caffeine).

Looks like it's their standard price for $798. I'll wait for the 20% ebay code to buy this in a few weeks time.

    • I think they've matched Harvey Norman and the Good Guys who have both had it at $798 as part of their Boxing Day sale. There was some discussion on the Harvey Norman one last week: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284473
Bing Lee's Boxing Day catalogue which expires today has it at $899 on page 6: https://www.binglee.com.au/catalogues?utm_source=homepage&ut…
Hopefully you strike it lucky and get 20% off the $798 on Ebay sometime soon but I think there's also a chance it might go off sale and be back at its regular price by then.

This coffee machine was $699 a year ago at HN, so the price will drop even further in the next couple of months. Be patient and save even more and possibly another $160.

Now that's what I called a smart shopping.

      how

i called up 3 stores and they all said it was separate

did you get the BEP920 or the BES920 with the grinder separate?

wish i had incompetent staff deal with me sometimes

      • best 920 with grinder separate. the salestaff guy told me it comes with the grinder. I just knew it wasn't right so I jumped on it.

      • Per the comments in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284473 there was an error in their online catalogue and on the website's product page last week which stated the BES920 included the Smart Grinder. Some lucky Ozbargainers were able to get them to honour this, others (such as me!) weren't able to; my local TGG just said it was an error and sure enough TGG pulled the product page off the site completely a day later (still doesn't seem to be back up, can't find any reference to the BES920 on their website).

  • OP got ripped.

  • Still cheaper than $1298

    • No one pays RRP.

  • I got the 920 for $739 and the grinder for $199

    $938 total

    • That's a great price, almost as cheap as it's ever been, to my knowledge. Did you just manage to negotiate them down further on the 920?

  • I got the coffee machine for $699 this year and the grinder for $199 in 2014.

  • Hi guys, just letting you know that I have just purchased the dual boiler plus smart grinder on eBay for $907 including postage. I got the BES920 from Bing Lee for $798 + $10 postage and the grinder for $199 (on special plus free postage) then applied a 10% discount from eBay (less$100 total). Winning! :)
