nice deal, kinda disappointing they increased the price, but hay thats how it is.

    • +1

      Still pretty good value.

Mrs and I normally get dinner and a lunch outta some of these combos, so thats not bad considering.

  • WA misses out!!

    • My WA vouchers came in the mail last week. The double combo is 13.95 here.

    • But you get Hot and Spicy all the time so it's not all bad.

      • -2

Ewww I hate hot and spicy

  • +6

KFC don't accept phone voucher AFAIK.

    • +3

      Phone is not fine?

    • +8

They hate people without printers. They're printists

    • How do they deal with their own app which has loads of vouchers?

I've never had a problem even before the app..
phone has always been fine for me.

      • Their app has vouchers? Am I blind? I got it a month or so ago and haven't seen any.

        • +1

well not technically 'vouchers' but similar or same deals exclusive to the app
in Colonel's table or Deals under $10 I recall..

    • +1

Just walked into my local KFC about 10 minutes ago and showed them the coupon on my phone. The girl at the counter had to ask the person in charge but he just keyed it into the POS with no issues.

    • To be fair, the attached deal looks like a scan of a paper promotion - not a digital promotion.

    • Its only the PLU they need tho right?

    • as usual people on ozbargain making assumptions, without even trying themselves. Why dont you try and show them the voucher before making a comment about kfc not accepting on the phone?

      • +2

Perhaps because they've tried previously and a voucher on their phone hasn't been accepted?

      • I went there twice previously to local Toongabbie KFC, the staff doesn't accept phone voucher. The one in Blacktown Mega Centre accepts though.

    • Depends on store. Local store is happy to açcept any form of voucher when it's a known deal… Good managers here though.

      • You have a better chance going to the drive thru and just saying the deals name and they almost always give it to you and never even ask for the voucher.

        • If you're worried about it that's worth a shot, but for smaller rural stored most of the managers are very friendly.

  • Any idea if we can upsize the regular comobos with the vouchers?
And as above, do they accept phone voucher?

  • +4

Anyone else feel like getting the Chicken and Wicked Wings Pack over Cheap as Chips? Although the 22% saving is only $5.71…

    • +5

      I'll go halves with you

  • +2

All this talk of chicken is making me feel peckish.

    • +1

Ease off the puns, we don't want any fowl play here

      • +1

As a Ozbargainer, who loves KFC, you need to ensure you keep abreast of it, otherwise you will need to wing it.

  • +6

A few of these are available in the app if your store accepts app orders. The Extreme Burger Combo is the same as the Burger Combo Deluxe in the app, cheaper in the app too $6.95 instead of $7.45. The Double Combo, Cheap as Chips and Chicken and Wicked Wings Pack are in there.

    • but u gotta pay first right

      • +2

You can choose to pay at the register, if that's what you mean.

        • oh i did not know that, thanks!

    • +8

It's ok, the Pepsi is healthy, it'll help cut the grease

      • +10

That's why I order the Pepsi Max with my mega upsize combo, watching my figure you know

  • +4

Zinger burgers always seem to be a bunch of seperate ingredients loosely thrown together in a bun wrapper. They never use enough sauce to keep it all together.

    • +1

Pro tip; Ask to switch the Mayo for supercharged sauce.

      Your welcome.

  • What about NT :(

  • +2

If your local KFC supports the Xpress app, you can get the Extreme Burger Combo (Burger Combo Deluxe) for $6.95 (-$0.50), Double Combo, Cheap as Chips, and more under colonel's table, worth the look if your KFC doesn't accept phone vouchers.

  • -1

The KFC app offers the same deal.

    • KFC app doesn't have some of these deals

  • -1

This is awesome, haven't seen KFC vouchers in millenniums

    • +2

Because they want you to use the deals in their app..

  • +1

    What a legend.

  • +1

Pretty sure all these vouchers are on their xpress app.

    • For the same prices too?

      • In some cases less.

      • +1

Looked on the app and a lot of these vouchers aren't. I don't have any xpress stores nearby so this is extremely appreciated!

        • +1

Yeah also in regional they don't offer it so coupons are only way to go!

  • What is this about participating stores?

  • rip wa.

lets count how many deal exclude WA in one page…

  • There goes my new year's resolution

    • +1

Your resolution can still be to save lots of $

  • +1

i just use the feedback on the receipts so i get free chips and drink ….. that knocks $2 off the cost of a meal already …. tend to get the zinger stacker , and they include chips and drink from the receipt ….. $8.95 all up.

    • +1

Unfortunately they are expensive and going up, but I agree with you to get the extra freebies, it's the only way to go!

  • I got the flyer and threw it out, there arn't any good deals. When you consider 9 pieces for $9.95 and compare it to the cheap as chips meal, it is not good. The extreme burger combo is pathetic, you can buy an ultimate box for $9.95 and you get that deal but with an extra piece of chicken.

    • +1

What's wrong with the Double Combo for $11.95 or the or the Extreme Burger Combo for $7.45? Those are better than the regular menu price I thought

    • Wow, first person I heard that is saying the vouchers are not worth it?

Extreme burger combo is a good deal. What if they don't want the piece of chicken then?

Cheap as chips is good too. Tell me where except QLD and a few selected stores have 9 for $9.95 permanently?

Also on special 2 sides for $5.95, and this has 4 sides, so $9.95 + $11.90 = $21.85, already more, plus remember this gives 6 nuggets too, but 1 less chicken.

      So vouchers are worth

  • Bring back 9 pieces for $9.95 deal!

  • Can you swap the Pepsi Max for a Pepsi??

    • of course? I'm confused you had to ask though

      • Oh I don't really go to KFC. Noticed they had Pepsi Max in all their pics and not a huge fan, so I thought I'd ask.

  • Wonder why they specifically exclude those three states for…

    • +1

Collins Foods (ASX: CKF) owns the franchise rights for (all/most?) QLD/WA/NT stores with a few in VIC/NSW (http://www.collinsfg.com.au/)
I would think that would be one of the main reasons

      • +1

        Sad days :'(

They used to give coupons for QLD a few years back…I always remembered looking forward to them during Summer

        • +1

          I remember those days too!

And in the good old 90s,the kfc I went to had carpet and everything, felt like a nice place to actually dine in

        • @montorola: I remember seeing a post about KFC QLD coupons a few months ago. Also for WA/NT a few months back.

  • TAS <3.

Sydney CBD George street didn't honour

    • Yep they don't honour. Was offered an alternative - Dinner Box (10 pieces chicken, 2 large chips for $19.95) which I believe is not listed on the menu but can be ordered as per every other meal

    • Interesting. I normally avoid George St (Town Hall) as it's too busy. Haymarket have always accepted the vouchers in the past. Hope they still do.

  • Cheap as chips is a slight saving if they let you buy 2 of them, but a good option that's always available if you have a large family to feed and don't mind left overs is the Giant Feast. You can add large sides to it for $3.95 but make sure you check the price as they often have tried to charge us full price for those sides.

The burgers are way too expensive for what they are. I can't bring myself to buy them anymore. But with the specials maybe I'll grab a burger for dinner tonight.

I don't consider their dipping offal deals a bargain.

  • WA is in a recession, give us some good deals! We're not on a miners budget anymore KFC

  • +2

Nice that the vouchers are back, however I would like to correct something. Those price increases have been in place since late 2015.

    Have a look

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/60316/35264/kfc_late_2…

    • I have been given cheaper deals vouchers in 2016!

    • Yep and you used to get 8 nuggets instead of 6 not long before that.

  • Just got knocked back trying to use a printed off voucher at the Canberra Center KFC. The same store accepted it last week. The guy was kind of a dick about it too "Hi there, could I use this voucher for the double combo?" "No" "Sorry what?" "No" "oh ahhh ..is that because it's printed off? I used one last week" "Different manager"

    • Wrote to KFC to ask why I never get any vouchers in the mail when I live close to two different stores. They didn't really give a good answer but they advised me to try the Xpress App and I found that both stores have been added to the app since I last checked. I can get my Double Combo through that. Not too shabby

  • Anyone had any experience redeeming printed off vouchers at KFC in Crown Casino Melbourne?

  • Is phone fine at North Ryde/ Macq Centre branches?
