    IPL Hair Removal Tool

So is this just for the Indian cricketers?

    • +3

No… Only for cricketers playing in IPL. That includes a lot of Aussies too.

    • -1

Yeah so jv can handle their dagger without hair :)

  • +2

Anyone used these devices before and care to share experiences with them?

Please include areas of the body you've treated, how many times, which brand you've used, etc and hair reduction results…

      • -1

Had luck on there, have you? ;)

    • +36

I did my ball sack. It was very hairy. Like a seals fur coat. Now, it's like water off a ducks sack. Or is that back?

      • +12

        pics or it didn't happen…

        • +21

          oh lord please NO

      • Duck's crack*
        Leaves a similar aftertaste too.

Dont ask questions, just trust me.

    Cash back $100 from remington?
    http://remingtonproducts.com.au/iplcashback/

    • So does that not mean you get this free lol?

      • +1

        Think it's a diff model

    • +1

Different model unfortunately :( this is the IPL6000FAU. So close

  • So no cashback then? How do you search for stock online? Does not show on website.

  • Would this cause any future complications?

    • Laser works by heating up the hair follicle to really high temperatures quickly, this in turn can cause the follicle to die.
I really doubt this has any long term complications, save for the lack of hair.

    • +2

Some people find that laser can stimulate the area and bring up more hairs then what they started with although I hear more positive reviews or no progress at all over the more hair growth factor

    • +1

IPL can cause loss of skin fat which increases aged look.
These home kits are less risk because they are very weak compared to clinic machines.

  • Was there any more stock left ?

    • +2

Yep, not sure how many though as they keep a plastic case with the product barcode on the shelf and the actual product out the back.

  • +1

This is the older model .. I purchased the newer model , the i light pro plus a few months ago for ~$500 at Harvey Norman .. I am not sure how great the older model is but if it does the job then this is a great bargain !!

    • +2

have you seen positive results with the one you purchased?

      • +4

Yes I have even on the first attempt .. but u gotta remember hair grows in cycles so doesn't get rid of all hairs at once .. but at the first attempt I noticed the hair grew back but there was bald patches here and there 😊.. this is with the newer model.. I searched around for a good ipl system and this was recommended by most 😊

  • Tried 2 bigws in WA and neither has stock or heard of it, anyone know where or if there are some in WA?

    • Im wondering this also probably long gone in wa.

    • Which big W. Will probably try other stores and get one for you if there is any

      • Karrinyup and Kingsway dont have any

        • Neither does Mirrabooka, Midland or Belmont. Looks like its out of stock in WA.

    • Tried Warnbro, Kwinana, Mandurah and Cockburn - no stock…

      • +16

Cockburn - that is what happens when you use the laser for too long

        • How long did your burns last?

        • +1

Has anybody tried BigW Phoenix? Maybe it could rise from the ashes..

          Phoenix is in Cockburn ironically.

  • +3

Do they make a hair replacement tool? I need to be refollicled, not defollicled,

    • +7

Put the battery in with reversed polarity, that should do it.

      • I'm not so sure - that might remove what remaining hair I have even faster!

  • anyone checked in Sydney BigW stock if it's selling at this price?

  • +1

    Insufficient stock…bargain over.

  • Is this a safer than bleaching ur (profanity)? srsly

    • I hope you have someone willing to do that for you because doing it yourself will not be :p

      • If you want practice bleaching assholes, just take this unit into any Collingwood game, take the handle off the base and turn the joint into a disco.

        • That escalated quickly.

        • @blue-dinosaur: It's either all in or don't bother at all, when it comes to matters of the butt hole :)

  • Was 798?

  • Does this actually work? I don't mean the technique I mean this particular device because it seems you can damage yourself with IPL equipment eg leave marks.

So I'm just wondering is this less powerful or something than something in a salon and does it work still?

EDIT: >Individual results vary. In clinical testing on the body, treatment sites showed up to 94.3% and on average 66% fewer hairs twelve months after just three treatments. Similar to results observed from professional hair removal devices.

Yeah so it doesn't work anywhere near as well given that the "clinical testing" is idiotically rigged to provide the best possible outcome like any other health/beauty product.

  • Would love one but I think these are probably rare as hen's teeth…

  • Just an FYI, the unit has an RRP of only $210, but places like Myers and David Jones sell it for $700, with a "$550" discount in all the post-xmas sales.

  • +4

On behalf of myself and the other creepy ozbargainer dudes floating around the health and beauty section of Big W Forest Hill, please mark this deal as "insufficient quantity"/expired.

  • +1

Note - you need to purchase cartridge too. See sample from Amazon

And there are a lot of bad reviews from men in 2016

    • You only need to replace the cartridge when it runs out. My wife has been using the ipl6000 for two years, and the first cartridge hasn't died yet,

      • +1

2 years? I can tell your wife has definitely not any Portuguese blood then.

      • P.S. None at BigW Macquarie Centre.

  • is anyone aware whether there are some left in adelaide, called Brickworks Big W they have none

    • I rang Marion and Cumberland and they had none

  • Nothing in Charlestown
