        • BDAYJAN17
15% off storewide until the end of Jan.

        • +1

@noogooo: thanks. It won't work for me - I'm not a January baby - but thanks.

  • I assume if using points then can't claim anything back through the TRS if I'm going OS soon?
Pay half in cash then maybe the invoice will show this amount so can claim 10% of this?

    • I do not think that the invoice is going to show the RRP. It will probably show the breakdown of components- QFF points and the AUD component. You would only be able to claim for the AUD component, that too if it is above the minimum amount. Just my 2 cents.
Please do your research before trying to claim tax back via TRS.
      Cheers.

      • Yeah figured as much, cheers

  • Will these take 2+ weeks to ship as they say?

Availability: Despatched in 10 business days

Or is that a conservative estimate ?

    • FYI I ordered mine on the 4th, still not arrived/no shipping information received. I think mine were due "by" the 28th..

      • Interesting, I ordered on the 6th and my estimated arrival is 25 Jan.

        • same here. will report when i received it.

        • @ce5himm:

Just took delivery of my set. It was delivered by Toll Priority and fullfilled by JB Hi-Fi coming from Port Melbourne.

Order status on the QFF store still doesn't have a tracking number nor did I receive an email stating that these were even despatched. ETA 25-1-17 lol.

        • @kevlarman: just got it, one hour ago.

        • how do they sound? If you have heard Bose QC25 - would love the compare?

        • +1

          @bargainbargain:

I have the QC35 as well. I'm no audiophile, but I'll try to do some testing.

        • @kevlarman: keen to hear your thoughts. Guess the big test would be on a plane!

        • @911r:

Last night I tried on both headphones while sitting next to my computer, which has a fairly loud fan. I thought that the QC35 was slightly better in noise cancellation.

With the limited listening tests I did this morning, I feel the PXC 550 better suits me. Especially since I use a Galaxy S6 which supports the superior aptX codec. Audio/video latency is quite noticable on the QC35; non-existent on the PXC 550.

        • thanks mate. Noise cancellation not too big for me- more weight to sound quality…

need some extra impetus to give away my hard earned point he he !

        • @kevlarman: Thanks for the quick review! This is a tough one for me as I think the major thing for me is the NC (mainly used for travel), but some of the features of the pxc 550 sounds pretty good - e.g. piping in voices etc.

Other option is the mdr-1000x, but they have their limitations too and are apparently not as comfy. Can't easily try them out for an extended period so makes it hard! Might just have to stick with the bose (and it's not so great SQ).

        • @kevlarman:

Mine is the same, ETA 25th but i haven't got anything yet.

        • Just called Qantas and they said they are out of stock and there is delays. :(

        • @sylon: I ordered on last Saturday and it arrived in mail this morning.

Really awesome. Quite like it !

  • I have spoken to Qantas, they have a buy-points options where you can buy points in blocks of 500, Link: https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/program/usingPoints/topupP…

so in my situation, I need 3300 points to bring me up to the minimum points + extra payment which ends up around $350 total.
Which is still a pretty good deal, given it is half price at Qantas.

  • got my pair today. pretty stoked with them so far! just hoping their CapTune app will have Spotify compatibility in the future

    • How long you have to wait until you got yours?
I ordered mine on 13 Jan, order status says ETA today…

Took them at least 3 weeks to deliver… Must be overseas stock.

      • i ordered jan 6 and got them on jan 26.. so 20 days, roughly 3 weeks. i'm sure yours will come soon - definitely worth the wait!

        • Just got it today… so the delivery time seems about the same.
Yeah I tried it straight away.. the sound quality is clearer than qc35.
Definitely worth it for this price :)

        • @cimot: how's the noise cancelling? On a plane will be the real test.

        • @911r: My office have those rumbling noise masking speakers hanging on the ceiling, and I can't hear any noise at all.
When I test it outside, I barely hear street noises.

I think noise cancelling on pxc550 is quite formidable, but I have issue with leaking wind noise when walking outside.

        • @cimot: Hmm I've read that alot of NC headphones have that issue. I'm mainly worried about NC on the plane as that's my primary use. Also bit worried about the lack of on/off switch. I feel like they could easily be set to on while carried loose in a backpack or duffle. I think I might stick with the qc35s despite the upgrade in SQ.
