Mass Effect 2 Free @ Origin

3720

Credit to @bumgodrums who posted this previously here. The deal is back. Not sure for how long but you can get Mass Effect 2 for free at Origin so jump on it now.

Here's the speil:
Are you prepared to lose everything to save the galaxy? You'll need to be, Commander Shepherd. It's time to bring together your greatest allies and recruit the galaxy's fighting elite to continue the resistance against the invading Reapers. So steel yourself, because this is an astronomical mission where sacrifices must be made. You'll face tougher choices and new, deadlier enemies. Arm yourself and prepare for an unforgettable intergalactic adventure.

Game Features:

Shift the fight in your favour. Equip yourself with powerful new weapons almost instantly thanks to a new inventory system. Plus, an improved health regeneration system means you'll spend less time hunting for restorative items.

Make every decision matter. Divisive crew members are just the tip of the iceberg, Commander, because you'll also be tasked with issues of intergalactic diplomacy. And time's a wastin' so don't be afraid to use new prompt-based actions that let you interrupt conversations, even if they could alter the fate of your crew…and the galaxy.

Forge new alliances, carefully. You'll fight alongside some of your most trustworthy crew members, but you'll also get the opportunity to recruit new talent. Just choose your new partners with care because the fate of the galaxy rests on your shoulders, Commander.

DLC isn't included though, and you still have to pay big bucks for it :-(

    I hate Origin.

Password doesn't work. Forget password email doesn't send. Live support doesn't work.

    Anyone…?

I had that a couple of years ago: I called EA support and after a long painful conversation, My account had been hacked, my personal details changed, and the email address associated was also changed… Thus, when reset password was pressed, the email went somewhere else. The only thing that was "evidence" it was my account was the username: imagine trying to prove that some username is yours without any details matching. The only thing that I figured out that FINALLY convinced them It was mine was some old emails that I found from when I purchased FIFA - I gave them product codes and they realised that the Russian details were fake. They manually reset all my details.

I hope this isn't your case, but support finally admitted that there was a black market for origin accounts that have been "redressed". Good luck!

I had the opposite experience. Mine had been hacked as well unknown to me. I called their support line and a nice bloke could clearly see that I wasnt Russian and the owner of the account. I got my account back (with changed email address) and started using 2FA.

        Two factor auths are crucial!

I use em on everything I can now

Similar situation with my account. Managed to get mine sorted via Live support and email. Took a good 20-30 min to get restricted access and then another 24 hours to get full access after ID verification.

Mine was also hacked about a year ago. Unfortunately i used the same password on most low-risk websites and led to me having to change about 40 passwords. I now have learnt the lessen and use a password generator.

Funny how you can become russian all of a sudden and their system doesnt flag it.

The guys were nice on the phone, but the security problems were annoying.

DLC seems to be included this time as the art work, soundtrack and other extras were added to my download queue.

awesome! just in case anyone had trouble with the origin PC app. I had to sign out and back in before it registered the game as free. First time I tried origin was already signed in and the game showed as $19.99

Do you need to play the Mass Effect series in order, or can you start at 2?
