Will be a very quick deal because of the limited sizing and stock levels, but I have found another bargain on the New Balance website. Because it is listed as full price for one colour it allows you to apply the coupon code for the grey and blue colour :)

Only Sizes 9 & 11 are available at this price.

500 Microfibre sold out insanely quickly. I have still put some other shoes which work with the code and are on clearance well below RRP.

Also available for the same glitch is:

Fresh Foam Vongo $84

New Balance 860v6 $102.90

New Balance 1260v6 $112

New Balance 997 $84

Enjoy!

Is this supposed to be for Optus staff only? Or doesn't matter

    • Nope works for anyone!

    • Yes and Yes I'm guessing

  • Cheers, needed some new out and about kicks

  • Stock almost gone now.

  • Only size 9 left in one style.

  • no more grey and blue

  • I'm a size 9.. but only showing me 30% off.. ($70 at the balance)

    • Refresh and check the New Balance

      • Nope:

"Order Discount: Optus Staff 30% OFF 2016/17"

Only 30% off the original $100

    • It's only for the Blue and Grey Colour

  • Only size 9 remaining.

I hate it when a code like this is posted. Clearly this is for Optus staff. Every man and their dog on Ozbargain will use it for themselves or buy and resell on Gumtree. So once Optus management catches wind of it being posted deals like this will disappear for Optus staff. It's meant to be a perk for them, not for you. I'm sure many will disagree. That's called greed.

There ought to be a ban against posting staff targeted deals. Presumably they would know through their company anyway.

Go on down mod. Don't care. This needed saying.

So once Optus management catches wind of it

Then they'll start issuing unique codes and enforce strict quantity limit, the latter should always happen anyways, especially on Ebay.

Every man and their dog on Ozbargain will use it for themselves or buy and resell on Gumtree

      There's generalisation and there's this.
Do not tar decent people with the same brush as scumbag resellers.
When buying in gumtree, ask for a receipt that shows the price paid.
If no receipt shown, then lowball them like hell

      • Too much effort to mess with individual codes. Adds expense to the program. Much easier for management to can it due to the abuse.

      • Also, if Gumtree seller can't show receipt for 'brand new' items, you then should lowball them like hell

And there is nothing wrong with reselling something that you bought in good faith. When you buy bargains specifically to flip them and others miss out who actually want to use them, it's poor form though. It's a fine line. I have bought and resold recently (a guitar) but I was not intending to resell and it was an individual code sent to my mailbox that I would have known about with or without OzB. I was honest about how I got it and what i paid and if the buyer had haggled I'd have come down a bit.

    • I hear what you are saying but actually you reminded me when there was some exceptional deals during a sellout sale at Dick Smith about a year ago. I later read a few OZBs saying that staff were buying goods themselves to sell on.

I went to the local store the very morning of that sale, but a surly staff member advised me they had no stock of those particular items (mobiles etc.) I asked about, none were on sale… not only that but there was no sale. I passed the door "sale" sign as I left; have not been back there since.

Personally we only buy for ourselves or gifts for others; couldn't be bothered with selling on.

  • Code doesnt seemed to work for "Fresh Foam Vongo $84" I have tried both colors size 11 but still comes up normal price… is it just me?

Yep you're right, seems like they've fixed it for most of them already. The 997 and 860v6 still seem to work but I think I'll expire the post because most of it doesn't work anymore.

    • enter your staff code from optus and then it works

So hard to order with New Balance. Had 2 orders cancelled and missed out on many more.

  • I used the code to purchase a brand new 1500v3 this morning and it worked. I paid $140 instead of $200. Thanks OP!

  • Had ordered 500 Microfibre but was cancelled as no stock apparently.
