SALE - FURTHER REDUCTIONS
Save up to 80% in our biggest sale of the year! Prices have dropped further across a great range of Games, Blu-ray, DVD, Merchandise and more, with new products added!

Ha, only seven days into 2017 and already we have the biggest sale of the year! Should hold them to that statement for the next 358 days.

I went through the Blu-Ray selections and prices start from £1.99 AU$3.35 but only one available Walking With Dinosaurs The Movie. The next price range starts from £2.99 AU$5.03 with a few available then prices increase in increments of £1 AU$1.68.

Some Blu-Ray items that stood out for me in price1 when compared to JB, Amazon UK / 3xCamel and taking into account postage charges2:
Cleanskin £2.99 AU$5.03 now £3.99 AU$6.49
Holy Rollers £2.99 AU$5.03 now £3.99 AU$6.49
Police Academy - The Complete Collection £10.79 AU$18.16 now £11.99 AU$19.77
Quentin Tarantino Boxset £13.99 AU$23.55 now £16.99 AU$28.00 (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol.1 & 2)
Jurassic Park Collection £13.99 AU$23.55 now £12.99 AU$21.12
Heroes - Season 1-4 £19.99 AU$33.65 now £33.99 AU$55.26
Fast & Furious 1-7 Movie Collection £21.99 AU$37.02 now £17.99 AU$29.66
Lost - Seasons 1-6 Complete Box Set £39.99 AU$67.31 now £44.99 AU$74.17 now £42.99 AU$69.88
Mad Men - Seasons 1-7 £53.99 AU$90.88 now £59.99 AU$98.90
X- Files - The Collector's Set Seasons 1-9 £59.99 AU$100.98 now £69.99 AU$115.39 (doesn't include The X-Files: The Event Series (Season 10) but has the slot for it)

Edit: price changes - typical price increases. Although F&F 1-7 did get cheaper - but is it cheap enough
Edit: more price changes - further price increases. Heroes Collection increased by over $20 but Jurassic Park Collection is cheaper

  1. All conversions done with google.

  2. Prices listed do not include shipping which for me is usually only £0.99 AU$1.67 per order for Standard Delivery or £11.99 AU$20.18 for Tracked Delivery.

  • All the DVDs i want to get are Region 2 only…

    • Yeah Zavvi is based in the UK.

    • Most DVD players in Australia are capable of playing movies from any region, either out of the box or after entering an unlock code.

      • +1

Plus to the OP for the effort.. hope my pioneer dv344 is a multizone player..Lol.

    • Most DVD players are easy to unlock to enable multi region. It's usually a code activated with the remote control or an IR code you can upload to another device and then use that to send it to the DVD player.

Check online using your players' model number.

Luckily the Blu-Ray region is the same here as it is in Europe. As you generally need to chip a Blu-Ray player to unlock it (although you can unlock the DVD part of the player with an IR code).

  • How much is shipping?

    • +2

Roughly about $2.50 per order. Note that's for the entire contents of the order and not per item. It's cheap!

    • As detailed in the footnote.

The only items I've ordered from Zavvi have been Blu-Rays and the shipping has always been £0.99 AU$1.67 per order (not per item) for Standard Delivery.
While I've never had a lost item, their packaging usually only consists of just a padded jiffy bag for small orders. Compare that to Amazon UK which uses cardboard boxes even for single items but you pay around AU$7 for postage of just one item.

According to Zavvi, postage to Australia is £1.99 AU$3.35 for Standard Cost and £14.99 AU$25.23 for Tracked Cost.
Interesting that I've only ever paid £0.99 AU$1.67 postage for Blu-rays no matter how many are in the order.

Amazon's cardboard packaging easily starts to fall apart in transit. Sides just fold in with no sealing tape. Many a parcel has arrived with the flaps just about to come loose and spill out the entire contents. Sometimes a sealed padded envelope seems a better choice.
