    Theres lots of heavily discounted Recievers around at the moment due to 3D TV's taking off . The new 3D TV's require HDMI 1.4 not the HDMI 1.3 found on most Recievers on the market at the moment . Not Sure if this particular model is 1.3 or 1.4 as the specs seem a little vague but worth keeping in mind .

    Yeah, it looks like a runout price. Exactly the same deal can be had at http://www.videopro.com.au/p-1936-sony-strdn1000-av-receiver…

    Given the expiry date Dewysan has given, and the matching deal at Videopron ($699 incl shipping), the case for a runout is strengthened.

    Having said that, I haven't dealt with Videopro before either, and some may prefer to deal with a sony centre direct.

    Darn… just bought Marantz 1505.
    Looks like a good buy if you don't need hdmi 1.4
