Same reason some people won't do pickup for stuff they sell on eBay …Postage only … You can get weird types turning up after hours ….It's not like a shop you shut at 6 pm and go home when you operate from home people can turn up anytime.
When you sell from home some people see it as an opportunity to canvas your home for what you own and come back later for burglary …. and they phone before hand to check if you aren't home one they have adress and phone . Gumtree ….Burglars shopping mall hence police warnings about where you do transactions and details you supply to strangers.
