        I got 20% off accessories on the Boxing Day sales. But as I already have a Weber I didn't see if they were also on special. DJs only had 10% lol.

      Yeah for some reason when I went to myer a few days after boxing day, the Weber accessories were excluded from the 20% sale! They were in the same section as the picnic stuff.

        I haven't been checking it lately but from memory it would be pretty rare to find 20% weber sales. There used to be opportunities to price beat at Masters when they were running but obviously that's no longer possible.

    Anyone ever bought beds/mattresses from Myer and can comment on quality and price? I am in the market for a bed and was thinking about to head to Ikea. This 45% off sale is attractive, but the Myer prices still seem too high to me.

      Can't comment on the experience of bed buying at Myer; but I can comment on the quality of Sealy mattresses (I'm a fan). With beds it's really important to do your research before buying though, as there is definitely a right and a wrong mattress for everybody. You'll be sleeping on this thing every night for the next 10 years, so it's important to get it right. Getting it wrong can result in restless sleep, and even back problems.

      AH Beard range are pretty decent. Had a pocket spring one for 2 years now - no issues
      But I think we get them at 50% off - However Free delivery is nice
      Go and check them out first

      The price was good when I got mine, but I also used interest free on my Myer Visa and scored extra Myer One points. They had the one I wanted, it was 40% off (the usual sale discount these days).

      Their prices are reasonable when 40% off - they may even include taking away your old mattress (DJs does)

      I just bought a Sealy Posturepedic and found Super Amart to be the cheapest for the base model (Aspire range) that's similar across all stores but with different names. Worth comparing.

      I would recommend the MiniJumbuk wool quilts as well, a bit $$ but worth the investment as it will last for a long time & is great quality, very warm too.

        Yes both Mini Jumbuck and Downia are great. You could get an "all seasons" quilt which is basically 2 quilts - you put both in together during the coldest months.

        Just make sure the quilt/s are machine washable - dry cleaning them ends up costing more than a new quilt after a couple of years.

        I was looking at luggage today. The Antler Atom is $150 cheaper than the Herschel cabin bag, yet it's over 1kg lighter.
        I don't understand why Herschel is such a big deal?

          Brand names. The dumb thing is its so much cheaper buying from the U.S but they have put restrictions on a lot of sites exporting to Australia to maintain their pricepoint.

        +1 for Antler - nice and light too. Samsonite are true to the hype. American Tourister are the "budget" brand made by Samsonite - the guarantee on them is good.

        this one the sale wasn't even until Saturday but they did it for the sale price anyway. It's a firm mattress with a middle strip which is soft memory foam in the middle.
