Hey all. I usually don't enter these voting comps, but I entered this photo comp for Discovery Channel to become a blogging/photographer intern.

I made it to the shortlist of 50 and a voting round will determine the next shortlist of 25.

Voting is open until Jan 29, and you can vote up to 10 times a day (which is a bit ridiculous) so if you feel like helping an ozbargain-brother out then head over and give me your vote… every day, 10 times a day. haha…. but only if you like my photo of course.

      yeah the subreddits in Aus are pretty dead unfortunately :( Did have a look on whirlpool too but not much luck unfortunately. Good old Ozbargain community spirit is always good though :)

      True but there are also a lot of mediocre photos too, I only need to stay in the top 25 and then round two is an assignment (which I assume will have to be something local) so should be able to nail that one being pretty knowledgable of hidden/weird photo spots outside of Melb :)

          @SkMed: Incredible portfolio of work!

          You know how the mind just make linkages and evoke memories. When I looked through this, the Discovery Channel "Wonders Never Cease" promo clip (Morcheeba song as background) from a while ago started flashing/playing. Your photos really spotlight some wonders, and beauty all around us … bravo! :-)

    Thanks guys! As predicted Instagrammers with tens of thousands of followers are leading like crazy!? :/ But im still hanging in around 20th place for now.

    If anyone knows some Melbounre/Aus photography forums where I might be able to get a boost do let me know :) Ive tried the few im in but the members aren't very active. haha.

      Thanks! Haha, well yeah I suppose it is. The prize is several small trips paid for (about 5 or 6) over a year or so and you blog/photograph for Discovery Channel. Worse case its some free trips and exposure, best case a foot in the door to something bigger!

    Hey all, apparently there is a bug in the system and as oz-bargainers it is our duty to exploit this flaw!! The clock is set to USA time, and you should be able to vote another 10 times for the final time right now even if you voted this morning. :) So if I could please ask you to jump in and vote another 10 times that would be just swell. There are still only a handful of votes between me and elimination :/ THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN VOTING :) :)
