Hopefully they will sell gift cards in red envelopes

  • Looks like a good price for 15YO Dewar's - anyone tried this drop before?

  • +3

Also possible to get 5% off if you purchase discounted Everday Wish Gift Cards. You can use Entertainment Book or Cash Rewards.

  • Or get an $8 bottle Chinese Liqueur from Asian grocery store.

    • Really they sell that?

It's the cheapest way to legally buy 40% spirit. The only catch is the weaker ~18% products usually have salt added, while the stronger 40% 'cooking wine' for $8 a bottle is made from rice and wheat. The taste is okay (or so I've heard…) but it's not really vodka. Don't spread the word that 40% liquor is available for $8 a bottle at Chinese grocery shops however, as the Nanny State will surely descend and ban the useful product.

There is 55% red star erguotou available. It's only 12 dollars for legal spirit.
But it's a really strong spirit.
Let me know if u need more information. I know a place occasionally has stock.

      • Sounds like a pretty vile tasting but cheap way to get drunk.

      …and perfect with yum cha!

      • Yeah it would be because it doesn't overpower with flavour

strong beers are no good when its 40 degrees

  • I remember last year the year of the monkey blue lable special edition bottle sold out within a couple of days then went straight on ebay for ~$400. This years year of the rooster bottle and box look fairly average in comparison though.

    • Staring at my year of the monkey bottle right now! I had a look at the rooster, very uninspiring. With 4 bottles of the monkey it made a picture as well. To buy or not to buy!

  • Damn, no Kweichow Moutai included in the spirits? That's not a legit Chinese New Year Special!!!

    • yeah! totally agreed! at least should include "wuliangye"
