This is an American text. You'll probably end up sounding like you've watched way too much TV. "I just saw my oh-bee-gee-why-ennn and she wants me to see the anesteeesioologist before my see-section." cf. "I just saw the obstetrician, and she wants me to see the anaesthetist before my cesarean."

    • Oh I read that as a "male" question .lol.

Or, you know, just ask the doctor what they mean? I don't expect to have to study a book for my mechanic to tell me what's wrong, I don't expect my patients to either.
Have them write key words down and take it with you. People only remember less than half of what you tell them. Patient handouts and info sheets are important!

    • This is what I do with my doctor.

one of the best traits a doctor can have is the ability to understand their field well enough to explain it in simple enough terms such that any patient can understand what they are going through.

  • Thanks!

  • Great that it's free but seems unnecessary.
