They are selling the game $89 dollars here.

Also 1-2-Switch Game for £28.87 ($47.11 AUD) still not worth it I think. But for those that want it.

Be aware that Base doesn't charge your card until they send the item so the conversion could go up or down over the next month or so.

    • And you can cancel any time

        True, personally I wouldn't rush.
I kind of imagine that Big W and Target will sell this for $74 on release based on the price of Pokken which was the only WiiU game with a RRP of $89 and sold for $74.

thats Wii U and it was old and failed so of course they will sell cheaper. this is the switch brand new console. I dont think they will maybe a week later. plus this is still cheaper and with delivery for those that cant get in-store or something

@shadowrukia: Usually stores like Big W sell cheap the first week or two and then revert to a higher price. I think it will be $79 or close when it releases.

        • @ruddiger7: Lets hope

        • Agreed. Consoles are hit or miss, but major Nintendo releases are always cheap somewhere in the first week. Skyward Sword, A Link Between Worlds and all the HD remakes (including Ocarina of Time, which was a 3DS launch title) had great pricing. Pokémon hasn't had a hyped console release for over a decade, but without fail the main series handheld titles have a $59 RPP and end up being $45 at Target, Big W, The Gamesmen, Mighty Ape or even JB Hi-Fi.

Although there would be pricing pretty early on a few years ago, these days it seems like no-one really pushes pricing until a couple of weeks prior to release. Sun and Moon was particularly strange like that, with only EB Games even advertising preorders prior to about a month before it was out. I imagine here we'll start seeing pricing a lot sooner, but I'd still wait. Stores don't tend to stop accepting preorders, nor have a cut off before release day, so there's likely no loss in waiting until around Valentine's Day to suss out pricing. Plus, $90 isn't setting that bar that high - it's currently EB Games' placeholder price. There will very likely be better pricing soon.

  • Great price, but it'd be really annoying if they were slow with shipping.

    • In my latest video game purchase experience with Base.com, it arrived after 15 days (not a pre-order).

    • I usually get all my base.com orders within 8-12 business days. If you want this game day-1, definitely buy local. If you're not in a rush I would keep on an eye on this shop and other UK e-tailers.

  • shows 32 and 49 for me. not seeing 28 and 43

  • JB sent me an email. $90 on release for the "standard" version.

    • It think that is just meant to highlight it is not the special collectors edition which has a figurine / music CD / map in it.

      • Master edition is USD $129.99 , which makes it AUD $171.65, so it will probably retail here for $180. Okay… the standard edition for $90 doesn't sound so bad then. <eye twitches>

  • I bet this will be bundled with the Switch before too long. Would likely be a better deal.

    • If by soon you mean 'before Christmas', maybe.

Waiting til there are more games worth playing out makes sense but I don't expect a price drop.

  • I'm thinking digital download for my Wii U - is there a cheap way to get Nintendo card around ATM?
The reason for digital is that I find it more convenient and at least I have a hope of it carrying through to another console in the future where as with discs I'm likely screwed as I don't think we will see another Nintendo with a disc drive ( an what happens why the Wii U dies).

    • I understand what you're saying, but it looks cool to just have the physical blue case and game disc!

  • These guys are a joke. Good luck with getting one at a cheap price.

Preordered NES Classic Mini in September and get emailed in late December that they can't fulfill stock. At least I guess they didn't charge credit card first but why advertise something for sale if you do not have the required stock!

Lol thats because everyone bought them. I never had a problem with these guys and their better then ozgameshop

  • 1 2 Switch, Arms, Bomberman, Zelda, Snipperclips, will be well worth it,

Why buy the same brown shooter on Xbox One and PS4 when you can buy creative games that take the industry to new places, none of that "when i get home i want to pretend im playing a movie" fanboy hate cliche,

This system and its games double as a handheld console system, and games like 1 2 Switch and whatever Wii thing that comes out will

be replayed alot compared to one and done trade ins, time to go back to being gamers rather then fanboys this gen.

One top of that its region free, the controller is a 2 in one, + you dont have to worry about buying as many controllers anymore.
Paid online sucks, but everything else is on the money.

This will be a good time for the Switch, Xbox S, Scorpio and PS4 Pro, lets appreciate before the industry crumbles like a cookie.
