    I've been using one for a few weeks now and it's a really good phone for the price. Camera could be better but that's about it. Battery life is great, charging every couple of days now

          I can confirm the $149.79 price is with Flat Rate Shipping, so generally this takes 20 business days to arrive. Meaning if ordered today you'd receive on or before the 20th of February.

          If Expedited Shipping is selected delivery will be 3-7 days, so I'd say Monday 30th January.

      Obviously it offers both 3G and 4G networks but not 100% sure if the phone can run them simultaneously. If you're asking whether it can drop from 4G to 3G depending on location then yes.

          Don't know about 4G & 3G though, don't think I've seen it like that.

          You would assume 4G/3G.
          My older dual sim phones would have the secondary SIM off since the 2G shutdown.

      No adware and it isn't trump. The fact is components are running a bit dry in China so they've had to increase the price - this is for all OEMs. Plus the race to the bottom with the price wars is fairly saturated now

      No adware afaik, just lots of Chinese apps which might be a bit sketchy to some but there are weekly compiles on xiaomi.eu that don't have those programs

        Actually the bloat on my MIUI global mi Max was fairly minimal. There was Facebook (can be removed) WeGo (can be removed) and a Cleaner app but nothing else that was considered bloaty

        My Samsung galaxy S5 on the other hand… Paypal, Peel smart remote, S health, Flipboard, Galaxy app store, Catch Up TV, My Optus, Smart Manager, all cannot be removed.

    I placed an order but for some reason the delivery address in my order changed from Queensland to Australian Capital Territory. My address details in Paypal are correct. This may be a bug in the YoShop system. I raised a ticket to get this changed. Just make sure your address is correct.

      Same thing happened to me… the system defaults the address to ACT. But I fixed it before proceeding.

    are yoshop and gearbest the same people? i am pretty sure they are. i bought something from them and gearbest and they came in the exact same packaging, sticker and both had the same sender spelt the exact same way.

      Not the 'same people'.

      Quite different product ranges, service offerings and pricing is very different. Best to choose on a case by case basis to ensure the best deal is had.

      A lot of the packaging/shipping requirements from China stipulate a uniform size/weight to ensure the costs are minimised; maybe that's what you've picked up.

    Got a Xiaomi Redmi Note a few months ago to replace my Galaxy Note 2.
    All spec is good, everything is good, until 1 day…. I used it under a very little rains.
    Then it never boots up again…. The build quality of these Chinese phone/tablet is questionable.
    The micro-usb port are almost always build in low quality, just google it.

    and yes, again it is good spec, but that's it. Good spec with low quality build

      Did it have a plastic back cover, because I've put my Redmi Note 3 through a lot of very questionable conditions and it works as new. Unless you had a knock off, otherwise I can't see how it'd be different to any other phone.

      Either it was a knock off or there is more to this story than you are letting us know

      A little rain won't hurt most phones provided it's not soaking in water

      I've used my Redmi Note 3 in the rain countless times, without a case. When I say "used", I mean catching Pokemon, so I'd have it out of my pocket for good 10 minutes or more. No problems. I wouldn't be surprised if Chinese phones are made in the same factories as the Samsungs, Sonys, etc. These phones are on par in terms of production quality, I'd say.

      without band 28 it won't do aggregation ….700mhz is what Optus and telstra use for band aggregation…..so same 4G data throughout as a $49 phone from coles but with less bands and less coverage indoors.
      Pay a bit extra and get a Motorola G4 plus….. has all Australian bands, FHD, dual sim, etc.

      Yes, the set you suggested is USD$10 more, but paying through Alipay. Some prefer the confidence of PayPal which YOSHOP offers. Also I'd argue fast service of YOSHOP (direct assistance through OzBargain) is a benefit too haha!

      In terms of the phone comparison, the Redmi Prime is ~10 months newer, a little smaller (weight and screen size) and has a 13MP vs 16MP camera. Makes this really up to personal preference.

      The note 3 is best all rounder, we're all waiting for the price to fall below A$200 because has B28. Worth getting even though a snap dragon 652 CPU when you need signal for mobile games and download speed, also less power demanding.

      OP, better offer the note 3 Kate rather than tell us what we should buy. Sell to customer requests and you will profit

        Thanks for providing a link to the official global ROM. My phone delivered from YoShop was installed with an unofficial vendor ROM (version 8.0.5.0.0). I would definitely suggest updating to an official Global ROM before using the phone. Perhaps you should offer customers the option of having an official ROM installed?

      Most Chinese companies including the postal services themselves have taken time off for Chinese New Year. Considering they often work 10+ hours a day, 6 days a week with very little time off and very little pay. I think these companies deserve a break ;)

        I completely agree 100%, it just doesn't look nice selling a product they don't have or won't ship to you. If i had known i would have bought from elsewhere to save time. Especially when they advertise they have 500+ of them, you sign up, get their e-mails, go through the process then to be told sorry, we can offer you a refund or pick something else, but we'll be on holiday, we'll get back to you when we do. But i do agree they deserve a holiday, but still.
