Does Mobilciit count as participating retailer for Samsung gear fit 2 promo?

    • +3

According to the info in this post, the answer from Samsung is yes https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/287620

I've spoken with Samsung (online chat) and they've confirmed for me that the mobileciti models are eligible for the bonus gear fit 2.

  • +1

Looks like its time to pull the trigger on getting a samsung gear s3, would love JB hifi to pricematch the deal but no way in hell i see that happening, $450 such a great damn price!

    • +1

Is it though? I really can't spend that much on a smartwatch…

      • To me its the fact that it also looks and feels like a real watch is brang into the price (As far as it can) as I just lost(was stolen) a watch that you'd pay nearly $1000 for from a jewelers with no 'smart' features.

And everywhere else is asking $599 retail for it.

    • Do you need to have a samsung phone for it? Curious as I have a pixel but no smart watch atm.

    • cool story

      • No need to be rude.

You should go back to having deals for yourself Eneloop

      • +1

        Lol

    • +1

Incase even 1% of people reading this think its true and stops them from buying. Please know its complete bullshit.

      • Why do you think it BS?

I had an issue and the guy at reception told me to go straight to the Samsung service centre after waiting 30 mins instore. If you know Australian consumer Law you would know that for any warranty issues the store of purchase has to deal with it, they can't send you away.

        • -2

They are only going to send it to Samsung, so take it yourself and get it done quicker, guessing that's what you wanted? I have never bothered with the middle man (retailer) for warranty, faster repair times going direct always.

        • +1

Samsung Granville is literally 5 minutes away by car from Mobileciti Parra. Almost walkable (2km) if you wanna take a stroll down Church Street and turn into Parra Road there.

        • @simmomelb: Seriously? Retailer can't say to go to manf. directly. They can suggest. 1 year warranty is from retailer. It is upto Customer to go to manf. direct.
Why don't you buy from Manf. directly as well.

        • @simmomelb: You didn't do that. Have you actually attempted to return anything in your life?

    • +1

My wife's Samsung K Zoom got some dust in the lense… went straight to Samsung who replaced the whole lense component… they just checked the receipt and the Aussie tick… no worries.

  • Any recommendations on a phone suitable for my mum? I think up to about $300 but could go higher.

    Ideally
    Not too large
    Getting Nougat update
Fairly future proof. Will not be replaced until it breaks.

    Currently shortlisted
Axon Mini - not getting updates
Sony Xperia XA - battery bugs
Moto G4 Plus - 2gb ram (or is the 3gb worth it)
    Moto G4 Play
Oppo F1s - just realised if you invert the letters it spells poop.
    Huawei GR5

Any other suggestions or definite yes's to the above?

    Thanks for any help.

take a look at redmi note 3 or 4 great bargain phone

      • +1

Thanks cruiserdog. I agree but I think for my parents something local would be better with warranty.

Currently leaning towards the G4 Plus 2gb as getting 7.0, although not sure if they need the features over the play.

        • +1

          Love my G4 Plus 2gb - great phone ;)

        • Loving my moto g4. It somehow runs as smooth as my dad's redmi note 3 with 3GB ram. THe software is so optimised and bloat free, 2gb ram is shockingly good enough! Nougat stock android update coming by next month!!! Camera very good as well

        • @nathan-drake: So, G4 Vs G4 Play Vs G4 Plus.. what's the difference? It left me confused.

        • +1

@virhlpool: The Play is cheap and nasty, avoid it. The G4 standard and G4 plus are both very good phones. G4 plus has an added fingerprint scanner and better camera, apart from that it is identical to the standard g4.

        • @nathan-drake: Thanks, mate. Which websites do you recommend to buy them from? When I compared the prices with Amazon India or Amazon US, the prices on Mobileciti look quite expensive even after these discounts.

        • @virhlpool: I bought the standard Moto g4 from amazon UK, you could buy the moto g4 plus from there as well. On checkout the price reduces by 20% since the VAT tax gets removed. They have good warranty as well

    • +5

      Nokia 3310.

    • G4 Plus for sure, takes out all other phones for value in the market.

      • How does it differ from G4 Play? What is the best price range I should eye for, for G4 Plus?

        • Just look at the specs, for best value try and find the standard G4 which is inbetween the G4 plus and G4 play. Although if you're willing to spend the extra for a better camera and fingerprint sensor then you should be looking for no more than $350 for the G4 plus and $300 for G4. G4 play is a load of crap, so many missing specs and definitely not worth the price such as the processor, camera, size, etc.

    massive 10%

10℅ is "massive" now?! C'mon, you can do better ;)

    • +5

      10% is relative..

      • Do you even lift bro!

    • +1

it is massive if there was no jack up to begin with i.e already some of cheapest on the market, example if MSY had a 10 off thats a meltdown

  • +1

    No cash rewards?

  • Can we ask OW to price match this?

    • You sure can, success however won't be assured, won't hurt to try.. So go ahead.

      • +1

I'm going now :D They close at 12AM tonight. Wow!

        • +14

          @tightarse:

I just pricematched an iPhone 7 128gb at Officeworks Osborne Park (WA) for $996, who accepted it as it was a storewide code/promotion.

          Receipt: http://imgur.com/vSFztQr

        • +1

@tightarse: The manager in ACT Braddon store didn't match the 128GB for me, according to the coupon offers u mentioned. But he did match this 32GB version for me link, as he considered "local warranty" as "manufacture warranty". Lucky me lol.

        • @Bargainninja99: I'm not as lucky as you, but eventually I got a $912 32GB version :D (see my comments above)

        • @rocklinsuv: went to Rocky QLD officeworks and got price matched for 128gb ip7. Only paid $996.08. Thanks TA

        • @Holdeningon: I'm a bit concerned now if 32G will not be enough.

      • +1

Tried pricematching - Got no love from Officeworks Pitt St, Sydney (the guy didnt accept it because it was a coupon code)

In the end I bought the iPhone 7 from Mobileciti - good to support a local company that has such a fantastic offer for the iPhone!

        Happy Australia Day all!!

        • +1

Great to hear :) Any chance they dispatched yours yet? Ordered on 25th still hasn't got to courier :(

        • +1

@dfaktz: I got an email this morning @ 11:02am that my parcel was picked by by Fastway couriors, so I guess it is on the way… How did you go?

        • @dfaktz: hey - just delivered this morning. cheers

        • @acg21: Heh.. Not even with the courier yet.. This is actually the opposite of what I was expecting.. The tracking number I was given 2-3 days ago still has no scans even though they said they know its taken so long due to the deal and it will be on the "morning cycle" on monday. :(

  • Damn! waiting for the Huawei Mate 9 & it's not out til Feb, would've been gold if this deal is happening then :(

  • I will wait for 20% ebay code :)

    • +1

eBay seller will increase the price, so you would only be saving about 10%

      • Not everyone does that.

        • They all do it as seen time and again. Phones haven't been at their cheapest price during eBay 20% promo.

    • Wont happen

  • Can u get the gear fit 2?? With this offer?

  • +1

Hi TA, Thanks for the great offer. I can't find anywhere to put in the coupon code on the checkout page (I am new to Mobileciti). Is it that the offer only commence Thursday (tomorrow)?

Got it - coupon code entry on shopping cart, not checkout page. Ordered an iPhone7. Thanks TA.

  • Can anyone comment on whether the extra $40 for the 3gb Moto G4 Plus is worthwhile. If for myself i'd definitely spring for it, but not sure when its not for a heavy user.

    • Yes it will make switching from app to app faster as it can keep more apps loaded in memory at a time, even for non-heavy users. Btw, anyone using the facebook app is a heavy user!

  • -7

Guys I have an idea. We should report this mob to ACCC for NOT price hiking. Since they ignore all the complaints we make about eBay sellers price hiking maybe this will make them look twice.

  • I can't get the 10% off the Moto G4 Plus 2GB with the code on mobile. Anyone else experience the same? The code worked on the 3GB version.

    • Works fine on black and white on desktop.

      • Ok thanks. Will get on a PC.

  • Looking at the iPhone SE it says 24 month warranty and Australian stock, so does that mean not grey imports and with apple warranty?

    • +1

      yes babe

  • +2

    Won't buy anything unless it's 20% or more…

    • -1

      Won't buy anything unless it's 100% free! Or more…

  • looking for a good phone with dual sim that actually works in oz. I can't use my second sim anymore since telstra turned off 2g.

    • The new Oppo has dual sim, at JB Hi Fi

    • Moto g4

    • Not from Mobileciti, but best bet for dual sim has to be Xiaomi Note

  • I'm getting this G4 that doesn't bootloop

    • Majority of the bootloops come from bad batteries. Try to boot up the LG's with a USB battery pack and you'll find it works quite well until you unplug it. Replacement of the battery with another genuine one gives you another 12 months of use

  • I can't find the coupon code field under check out page to enter?
Its actually under "Go to Cart" Button….the normal checkout doesn't have it.

    Trickster…

    • Yeah, website makes it damned difficult to enter code. i almost checked out through paypal looking for code.
Need to use a PC and need to really search for it, but it is there…

  • Hi can anykne recommend best value for money tablet to use the discount for

  • I'm sad :( I bought the s7 yesterday and then this discount happened :( I know mobileciti isn't obliged to give me the extra discount but it would be really appreciated.

    • sosad

  • Too bad, going oversea only on April, too early to buy for TRS :(

    • Yeah same will the same deal come in before April?

      • Can you ask them to hold on to the item until 60 days before your travel?

  • Such a great deal if only I didn't dislike all the new phones out right now :/

    • +1

      What about the S7edge?

  • Good deal .. comparable with grey import pricing + benefit of local warranty + trs

  • Any chance someone that purchased an iPhone 7 plus 128gb can post up their receipt? I'm going to try my luck with a price match tomorrow since it's out of stock here.

    • Price matching usually only if item in stock.

      • I'm thinking as more of a bargaining chip rather than a price match but no harm in trying.

  • According to GSM arena, the Galaxy S7 GM-G930F model (which is also listed as local stock) includes a lot more bands than the product page lists. Can a rep confirm that band 28, among others, is included in this model?

  • K10000 isn't there :(

  • Not being rude, but do they sell genuine SD/memory cards there?

  • Looking at buying an iPhone 7. Is there any difference buying through mobileciti as opposed to direct from apple as far as warranty goes?

    • +1

      No
