Just to be sure, does it include free mount or you got to supply that and it's just free install?

    • Yeah what he said!

  • Damn just bought it two days ago, any chance I can get the wall installation ?

  • People seriously don't know how to plug in a soundbar?

    • +2

Get the sound bar wall mounted as well with the TV…

    • +3

instructions unclear. soundbar went down my pants.

      • +1

        o.0

      • That's what she said.

  • Do you have to buy the wall mount seperately (i.e. Just the service is free)?

  • +3

    • Thanks for sharing :)

    • How would I use this receipt to order over the phone?

    • My neck…

      • +1

        My wrist…

        • What have you been doing with your wrist?

        • @ronnknee:
Was more practical then using neck ;)

  • Great post op :)

  • What's a good wall mount you can buy in store

    • I'd like to know what brand mount HN is using for these installs?

      • +1

I don't think the Mount is included

  • +2

Been looking for a TV and finally just went with a hisense 55" fhd @ bing lee prospect @$691.. TGG and HN customer service are appalling!

    • What's the model number of the TV? Is it the OLED version?

      • +7

        Lol oled

        • Sorry I asked because someone at work also earlier told me that they picked up a Hisense TV (floor stock) for really less from Bing Lee. Hence just curious to know the model number of the one jayzorz got. Even the UHD Smart for that price seems to be a deal.

        • @T D:

Oled of any manufacturer ur looking st paying double minimum.

        • @T D: i was comparing the UHD vs FHD.. UHD didn't look so great (3300 model). I was aiming to get model 58K322 but they couldnt get it down below 800 before Aussie day deals but really happy happy with this FHD model :)

      • 55K3110PW. Awesome TV. Was browsing between UHD for a while but couldnt justify the extra $$

    • Only LG make OLED TV, all the other rebranding crap such as QLED from Samsung and ULED from Hisense are just Edge Lit LCD panel.

      • +1

I can't believe they're really trying to get away with QLED. It's obviously supposed to trick people who are looking for OLED and don't look closely enough. That's some bootleg level nomenclature. I'm starting to think Samsung are lucky to be a household name, damn.

        • Totally agreed. Its a shame for Samsung to do this in their TV business considering their phone has the best display and its an OLED.

  • Is Hisense any good?
I have flashbacks to Konka,Soniq, Sonic, Palsonic and other elcheapo brands that tended to blow up early in life

    • +2

Quality looks good when comparing to other brands in store. Large company with 3 year warranty - what do you have to lose?

    • Yes! Better than Bravia TVs thats for sure!

Also, don't compare to elcheapo brands.. not the same at all

    • I've heard good things, 3 year warranty also.

We bought one and stopped working after two days.

      • that's no good. Was it replaced ? or repaired?

  • Is it a proper wall mount install with concealed cabling? Or just 4 holes on the wall with dangling wires?

    • I would assume the most basic installation ie. 4 holes on the wall with dangling wires.

      • +1

        Hmm looks like it.

        Terms and conditions.

Installation is for standard desktop or wall-mount installation only. Excludes provision of cables

  • What's the difference between 65M7000UWG and 65K3300UW?

both 4K smart TV from Hisense and 65K3300UW is $100 cheaper from HN

    • +1

      65M7000UWG is the newer panel.

    • I think the 7k panel has HDR. Im not sure about quality though

    • 7000 is a 10 bit panel
3300 is an 8 bit panel from memory.
7000 looks heaps better than the 3300 side by side.

    • Proper 100hz with hdr. Better motion and colour basically

  • +19

Just to be clear, this is the top model Hisense version (series 7) and reviews say it's the best value TV and beats out every TV (even high end Samsung's) in picture quality except LG OLED at 3x the price.

I bought this same model last week and very happy with it. Built in Netflix and app store is nice, not only does it play Netflix 4k but surprisingly it streamed my 4k grand tour episode (28gb) over wi-fi with no issues using the built in file software. That's very impressive since there's not many stand alone media players that can do that.

Quality is very nice, colours certainly need tweaking (by default skin is orange ) had ARc issues over HDMI with my av receiver, a 5$ optical cable solved this on eBay.

Built in sound is better than I expected, to the point where it's not worth buying a cheap sound bar. Get an amp and speakers for a worthy audio upgrade.

Yesterday I came home and found out my 2 yr old daughter found a screwdriver around the house and made a couple of 3 inch scratches into my beautiful TV.

TL;Dr don't buy if you have kids

    • ahhh u got to love them…..

    • Can always try lightly rubbing the scratches with some rubbing alcohol. Should remove the excess plastic and hopefully the scratch after a bit- worked on a couple of scratches on my monitors (they weren't very deep though). I used methylated spirits.

EDIT: Maybe do some research first- can have an effect on the antiglare coating on some TVs and I don't want to ruin your TV just because it worked with my screens!

Great review, 9/10. I didn't see the surprise twist at the end coming ;)

      • +2

        Are we reviewing reviews now?

    • Good to know, sounds like it might be good. This News LTD comparison between OLED and hisense ULED may also be of interest. http://www.news.com.au/technology/home-entertainment/tv/here…

This is what it says about ULED vs OLED
ULED stands for Ultra Light Emitting Diode, a term referring to several technologies developed by appliance manufacturer Hisense and used in its top-end televisions to provide ultra high-definition display images.
Hisense marketing head Andre Iannuzzi said the goal in developing ULED had been to provide the very best picture quality using core LCD TV technology…….
“The best thing is, consumers will get to experience it for longer. The brightness on an OLED display might begin to fade after three years [ according to Hisense, i think you would get a few years more than that ], but a ULED screen will shine bright for up to 10.”
So which one should you buy? As with most things in life, it comes down to money.
A side-by-side comparison of an OLED and a ULED TV gives the edge to OLED in terms of picture definition and contrast, but it really must be stressed the image quality from both technologies is fantastic — it’s like trying to decide which luxury supercar is better.

Hmmm that's bull about the 7 series Hisense being a better TV than hi-end Samsungs. I have a Hisense 657000UWG and Samsung 65" KS8000 TV at home and the KS8000/KS9000 is the better TV. It's the best TV other than OLED in my view (Also backed up by Rting website)

In saying that the Samsung is at least a $1000 more than the Hisense so I can understand why people would go for the Hisense. It's a cracking TV for the money and I have also purchased a Hisense 55K3300UW for $760 for my Mother so i'm no Samsung fanboi.

      • When they said high end samsung…they really meant series 6

        • What about series 7? Does this beat it?

        • @wildstone: i had a look at the hisense series 7 at the melb cbd jb store. From what i could see, pic quality was heaps better then a sammy series 6 and on par to their series 8 (sammy slightly ahead as it had brighter colours). But menu wise, the sammy was a lot zipper i found so usability better on the sammy. I didn't compare sound quality for apprantly its pretty good on the hisense.

          Imrul

    • Does it not have the amazon app in the app store ?

  • +4

if your not the type of person to spend $3k+ on a quality TV and usually get the cheaper tvs, this is 'that' quality tv at the cheap price your looking for.

  • For all those wondering, the included wall mount installation does not include an actual wall mount in the price, you have to buy that separate (or I suppose have one there already). HN will install the wall mount and then mount the TV, wires will be hanging down (not fed through the wall).

  • I have this tv. Love it. Worth every cent and more.
Best value for money 65" on the market.

  • +1

Looks like the 70M7000UWG could be $1920 from Bing Lee in a few days if they keep the current pricing.

  • The only thing i dont like about this tv is that it doesnt have PIP.

  • Just secured this at harvey norman rothwell for $1519 :D
thanks to the price matching receipt above. they couldn't do the 1475 but I cant buy the 1475 from tgg.

    • Did they still give you the bonus delivery and wall mount installation with the price matched price?

      • sorry for the delay,
Went instore as the offer was ending yesterday to secure< online wasnt working due to no local stores having stock. They had 2 on order in the next day or so.
They couldnt honour the 1519 if I was going to take advatage of the install/delivery but I did get 1587+ 89 mount(was 129) So 48 off.
The install and mount is approx 400 odd dollars.
If you went to HN today you could probably still get the deal.
Ive had HN offer me deal prices after they expire several times, being instore and easy to deal with helps
