Found this while looking at this deal for a simpler remote control.

This one has an RRP of £749.95 (= $1251.74), which sounds excessive; but, for comparison, Fishpond has it for $264. So, at this price, I think it has to be a good deal.

Works with quite a few Canon DSLRs. Here is the full compatibility chart.

Mainly useful for video, as opposed to still photography (so not actually much use to me personally!).

  How does $98.95 USD equal approximately $165 AUD? What exchange rate are you using/paying?? I get approximately $130 AUD from XE.

  I had a cheap $2 remote from ebay for my previous Nikon DSLR and it worked just fine. No idea who would want to pay this much for a remote.

      I bought one of these for $1.33 delivered. It works.small compact and easily fits in the camera bag. Sure it doesn't wire into the firmware…I guess that function alone is worth the extra $$$$
