If the Gold and Pulse Elites are any indication then you can use it wirelessly on PC and it comes with a 3.5mm cable.
Are they useable on Xbox? Because the Platinum isn't.
For $200 I can buy a general purpose headset that works on anything.

@Stahh: For around the retail price of Platinum, you can get Astro A30. If you're using it for VR, you can get for even cheaper, Turtle Beach's Stealth 350VR which is amplified unlike Platinum when connected to VR headset. It would sound louder and better.
Platinum is a decent headset, but its best feature, 3D Audio does not have wide enough support to justify the asking price (only one game supports it). It doesn't work on other consoles either, so if you own multiple consoles and don't want to buy multiple headsets, I would look elsewhere.

How do these perform compared to the gold?
They support 3D audio but the only game that supports it right now is Uncharted 4 via patch. It's supposed to sound a lot better with it though.
The review I read says it's not comfortable if you have a large head, which I do.
I'm willing to give it a go if it drops to $100 though, and more games support 3D audio. If some day every game supports it, that will be the time I look at getting one.
