  • Great phone apart from the rubbish back camera glass which gets scratched very easily.

    • The Moto or HTC? I have the HTC 10 and it attracts dirt etc to the camera lens so I always need to clean the lens before taking pics. Otherwise it's an awesome phone so it's nitpicking really

      • from googling looks like its the Moto G4 which is affected. XDA folks recommended using toothpaste as a mild abrasive to remove scratches.

        • I've just put tempered glass on the back camera (bought the phone a few days ago). The protector cost like 2 bucks on aliexpress, camera quality is the same. It has a very good camera btw, almost as good as iphone 6s IMO

Great prices but remember these are grey imports. (Esp given LG's recent history)

    • +4

Grey imports from DWI/eGlobal at that…it wasn't so long ago they screwed over a shitload of Aussies with some pretty shoddy business practices…how quickly the masses forget!!!

    • +2

what sort of history are we talking? I live under a rock.

I wouldn't trust these shysters further then I could throw them. Sure, the prices are good but consider the warranty worthless. I bought an LG G4 from them last year and when it (inevitably) bootlooped I sent it back at my expense only to be told after two months that they couldn't repair it (after initially agreeing that it was a warrantable repair). Instead they offered me $250 in store credit! This for an item I paid $550 for. Apparently they have a (rapidly) depreciating warranty policy. Fk eglobal and fk LG for not initiating a recall.

we have one of the moto g4 plus in the household…. got it as grey import….. great phone both sims work , one is 4G i think the other is 3g ….definitely not 2G, and moto have in some countries released android 7

and has band 28 unlike many of the chinese phones so it's super good for data where i live…..i'm surrounded by flats.

  • What's the difference between the HTC 10 and the HTC 10 Evo?

    • See here

The HTC 10 is lighter, smaller, has more RAM, a better, sharper, display and better audio options. It also has a wider aperture on both its front and rear cameras, as well as OIS on the front and importantly, a newer, more powerful chipset powering it.

The HTC 10 Evo on the other hand has a larger battery capacity, a larger screen, higher resolution front and rear cameras (though it's not all about megapixels) and it runs on the latest software from the box. The Evo offers adaptive audio to automatically tune the headphones to your ears and importantly, offers that IP57 rating.

4GB of ram vs 3GB of ram on the Evo and Snapdragon 820 vs 810 on the Evo. I didn't see any benefit as they are baout the same price.

      • Geez, what a weird product to release.

      • +1

4GB of ram vs 3GB of ram on the Evo and Snapdragon 820 vs 810 on the Evo. I didn't see any benefit as they are baout the same price.

Dont get the one with the 810 cpu. It has well documented heat issues accross many manufacturers.

        • Ah cool, definitely no point getting the evo then in that case.

  • do they offer warranty for the goods they are selling?

    • +2

be aware that. customers have to pay for the postage back to HK. when calming the warranty. that means no warranty I guess.

    • -2

12 month warranty, usually you send it back to NSW (their eBay listings say NSW but website says NSW or HK), but you are liable for shipping there yes.

  • Great price for the HTC. I'd grab it if I didn't have an s7,

Buying the Moto G4 Plus was hands down the best decision for a mid ranged phone. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sub $300 - $400 phone. This phone will definitely last a day of heavy usage and has a great camera.

    • yep its fantastic!! It is basically the new Nexus i reckon. Moto g5 plus will hopefully have a camera as good as nexus 6p…

  • The post has the wrong link for the HTC 10 it should be http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/htc-one-m10-32gb-4g-…

Also note the message "Special Price, stock arriving on 2nd week of February 2017" so it may take some time to arrive, tempting otherwise.

I've been on the hunt for an update to my HTC One M7 and this is one phone on my radar. Also looking a the Oneplus 3T and ZTE Axon, all flagship phones at half the price of the Samsungs and Pixel

    • Thanks, fixed up.

  • Just bought the one plus 3T 128 gig for $668 delivered. glad I waited a week as it was going to cost me over 700.

    • Picked up the 3t 64 for $569 delivered from Andriod enjoyed last week - not sure how good these guys are but we'll see how they go

      • The store has been banned on Ozbargain. See here. Let us know how you go.

        • yeah was meant to ship a week ago… still nothing. Oh dear.

Can vouch for the Moto g4 plus, great phone, even the 2gb model is quite fast with minimal lag for every day tasks. Can't comment on gaming or other resource intensive activities as I don't use the phone for that.
Can't comment on this online retailer - never used them.

  • Doesn't show discount on checkout, you have to confirm purchase to see the discount, it says. Good thing I came back to see some feedback regards to warranty. Not buying, Na!

  • +3

This company is worthless. They don't honor their warranty.

  • Warranty is a pain to claim, be warned!

  • Performance basis moto g4 or HTC 10

    • +1

i reckon get the moto g4 plus, the value is insane! HTC 10 is slightly better but i doubt you will realise it. It is not worth paying almost double

  • I'm using Samsung Galaxy S 5. Is the Motor G4 plus an upgrade? Cheers

    • You'll get slightly bigger screen, faster charging & 3GB of RAM instead of 2GB, dual sim instead of single sim. The extra RAM will make a big difference but the I don't think there would be a big difference in CPU (S5 older but higher end chip, G4 Plus newer but mid range chip from what I understand). G4 Plus is getting Android 7 at the moment also, Galaxy S5 won't get it. Not sure about camera difference. On the negative side you will lose NFC capability. Depends what you want and how your S5 is running, if you are needing something more performance wise this will do well with extra RAM - but if S5 is running okay and you are happy with it then could hold out for something else in the future.

    • Yes the Moto runs much faster, Samsung phones are filled with lots of laggy bloat software. Camera is probs slightly better on the Moto too

      • Thanks for your reply. I installed CM nightly. So I am on Android 7. The only issue of my s5 is overheating. It's too hot to hold after one hour or so of web surfing. My old 4yrs iPhone 5 didn't have this problem. The s5 is only one year old.

I guess I will hold out for now.

        • hold out for the Google Pixel 2, that is going to be the first true iPhone beater IMO, rumours are the camera is incredible
