  • Nicaragua Maragogype peralta estate

    $50/kg if anyone's curious

    • Yes, it is clearly stated in the product description on our website. Thanks OZB

"10% off…" is just click bait to generate website traffic. If there are too many discounted products to list in the title then there's plenty of room in the description.

Someone's taken the time to write these pages. When you've got a chance, how about taking the time to read them.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:rules_guidelines

POST a clear title including price and location.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:title_guidelines

        Titles should state:-

        2.Price…

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…

POST a clear title including price and location.

Write a descriptive title & description

        2.State the price.

          Well stated and well done.

Prices to be fair aren't anything special even with 10% but the coffee bean varieties are interesting enough, although several other regular business's on ozbargain supply the same or similar(Manna Beans being one).

OP might want to look at an ozbargain members special to create some interest.

        • We have provided individual links on the product description, you don't need to click on the main link and browse our website thoroughly, and you can go straight there and once you are on the exact product page, you will see price. We do not need to create traffic on our website, it is not our intention. As I said, you can just go straight to the main product. Our product is only 1: coffee, and they come in few varieties, price is well described on our website, and discount value is also well stated.
however just to make you happy, we have added the price wise in the description.

Thanks for your suggestion and we appreciate your affection with Manna Beans

          @sweetyarracoffee:

however just to make you happy, we have added the price wise in the description.

Not sure why you'd decide to follow the site guidelines just to keep me happy…unless of course you think they don't apply to your posts and are just in place for everyone else.

From your response I'm guessing you don't quite understand why the lovely people running this site, and most members, like to see pricing in posts. There are a lot of people here who would see a deal posted for coffee at ~$50/kg and move on. A store rep less scrupulous than yourself might post a deal intentionally missing the final price with the aim of using people's curiosity to generate traffic to their site in the hope of generating sales.

Just trying to politely remind you before someone else jumps in…not quite so politely…

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/289521

        • Thanks for reminding

    • also just to add, it is $49 per kg, please do not post a misleading post, thanks

      • If you'd followed the guidelines for posting as stated above there would of been no need for the member to post the price would there? And that would of stopped this confusion.

You don't exactly enamour yourself to potential customers by being so narky.

A nice way of replying to the member who posted the price would of been:

**Thanks for putting that price up, our apologies for not doing it from the start. As it turns out your out by one dollar but again thank you for doing so.

We've now put the prices in our Original Post as per the guidelines our apologies to everyone for getting it wrong on this occasion.
We'll endeavour to do better next time. Thank you for your support.**

It's not that hard to be polite.

  • Thanks for the enlightment, however stating $50 instead of $49 is still misleading regardless of any circumstances but once again thanks for the kind suggestion on wording issues.

We ve been around for more than 3 years and though our wording is not our strongest point but we have more than 500 happy customers enjoying our amazing coffee and deals , guess what most are coming from this website. :)

Again my appology for the misunderstanding your thoughts are well appreciated

Come on guys I just wanted to look at the overpriced coffee…..

    • Our website is fine, thank you for your feedback about overpriced coffee. If you can show us what is overpriced ? If you can show us better price on same coffee and quality from other online roaster, we ll be happy to match the price for you

Please bear in mind our price includes express post delivery and we roast on demand, so all coffees will be posted arrive as soon as we finish roasting.

      Thanks for the kind feedback

Overpriced coffee, what a lovely ignorant post. I assume you think your Coles freeze dried is just as good as these fresh roasted beans? Maybe stay out of grown up threads then until you discover proper coffee…

I am going to stand up for Sweet Yarra, I have been getting 2kg batches of different beans for close to 5 years now and usually comes to around $55 for 2kg DELIVERED almost next day sometimes (living close by). ATM it looks like there isn't a huge variety available but most of the time there is 5/6 diff beans to choose from, all freshly roasted when you order.

So what if they website is sometimes hard to find clearly labeled, if you took 2 mins to actually read the description the instructions for choosing what you want is super simple.

I have spoken with the owner many times and openly invites people to come for tastings at the roastery for example, its simply annoying to read comments like this.

      • Hi shizmo thanks for your kind feedback. We promise to keep our standard up.

About varieties, i am a kind of coffee person who is really careful about what we sell to our customers. Yes there are lots of different coffees but we are quite selective to make sure they are great tasting coffee and serves good value to our customers. We price our coffee carefully considerig alot of sensitive aspects to ensure we provide the best gourmet roasted coffee but affordable to most people.

To prove this, for those who have been with us for the last few years, will notice that We stick to what we have because these coffee are consistently good and great value price wise. Our brazilian, tanzanian ethiopian indian malabar etc are all best seller products and the blend that we make out of them have been used at the same clients cafe and offices for years.

We are adding one coffee at a time to test how market reacts and most importantly how our loyal customers react. ONE bad feedback from one loyal customer is enough to make us cancel the future acquisition of such coffee.

Again thanks for the kind feedback and hope you enjoy our continuing service

I can also vouch for Sweet Yarra Coffee. They have been really helpful with selections and turn around time has been insanely quick for a roast to order service but I do live quite close to them. I've yet to take them up on a visit to their store.

        • Hello thanks for kind feedback. Unlike others who post with parcel post we use express post for delivery. It is 1 business day mostly except some suburbs in wa.

  • is this site working for others? I actually want to have a look at these coffees but cant, getting this

I have had some small difficulties with his website in the past but in the end i always get what i need. Sweet Yarra has been by far the best coffee dealer I've ever purchased from and by far the cheapest. His packaging and his labeling are always cleanly detailed, the coffee is always exactly as described and his delivery to perth has always been within 2-3 business days.

I have spoken with the owner many times and i referred his business to a few friends of mine in Perth and after they bought coffee from him he called me to tell me he would like to send me a few 250g tasting bags to thank me.

I wont shop elsewhere for coffee.

    • Thanks for the kind feedback. We always try our best to stand out among our competitors in this industry.

Thanks for your order too, the maragogype is a rare coffee to come by these days, an excellent choice

  • any chance you could do half kg packs in some type of deal? Want to give it a try but 1 or 2kg will go stale after a few weeks.

    • Hello please send us an email with your enquiry and we ll look after you :)
      Cheers
