  • Uhh, Another smart watch i must purchase!

  • Get the Jumper EZbook 2(geekbuying.com) for $179.99 US (~$235.34 AU) - no coupon

    Says AUD $242.52 for me

    • Please note: AU$ based on exchange rate at time of posting.

      GeekBuying do not accept AUD and PayPal will convert it to USD during checkout. My recommendation is to use a card like 28 Degrees that has no currency conversion fees to get the current exchange rate.

      • Through PayPal it comes to $243.97

        • PayPal have currency conversion fees. Google says $235.41 AUD and Mastercard says $236.19 AUD.

          @Clear:

          Google shows the mid-market rate. Do you know what that is?

        • @kamoi: Updated to reflect Mastercard's rate since that's the most common payment method.

          @Clear:

          Well that's not accurate either. You conveniently left out the T&C and left the Bank Fee at 0%

        • @Clear:

          Here's a screenshot without the terms cropped out and Bank Fee set to the 3% which Commonwealth Bank charges for exchange rates. Other banks charge about the same. Usually 2.5 - 3%. 28 Degrees is an exception, but how many have that?

          Comes to $243.28

          Pretty close to PayPal price so realistically that's close to what most would have to pay.

        • @Clear: BTW, is this the old version or the revised one?

          Edit: NVM, saw it in the specs. Old version.

        • @kamoi: Firstly, plenty of people have no foreign transaction fee credit/debit cards (28 Degrees, Bankwest Zero, Citibank Plus etc), especially here on OzBargain.

          Secondly, IMO using the interbank rate is the most 'accurate' way of presenting pricing in local currency, since third-party/bank-mandated fees are non-standard and vary from product to product and thus don't apply to everyone.

          In any case, if you're making foreign currency purchases and you choose not to double check what the conversion and what extra fees might be applicable based on your own personal circumstances, you should have your OzBargain badge revoked!

        • @GreenGuava: > Firstly, plenty of people have no foreign transaction fee credit/debit cards

          Plenty of people? No doubt.

          Most people? I think not.

    Copy paste from last deal:

    Got one of these, some notes:
    - The English version only supports miles (no km), does not have cycling as an activity (only walk, run, trail run) and the android app is pretty awful.
    - The Chinese firmware is WAY ahead of the english version in terms of functionality and updates, it remains to be seen if they've already dumped updating the english version.
    - Strava sync works as advertised and is pretty painless.
    - HR monitor is reasonably accurate.
    - Battery life (+ always on display) is pretty good.

    • Can't seem to find anything about Strava sync. How does this work on the Amazfit ?

  • +1

    The onboard music storage allows for phone-free running

    This had me sold. My favourite Smart watch is still my very first one the Motoactv with 16gb storage.

    • Try the tom tom (spark i think)?

  • Here is the review - https://youtu.be/skbWrRX1VM8

  • Also the batery does not last 5 days as claimed since added half dozen apps. Lasts just over two days.

  • What OS does the watch use? Android Wear?

    • Not Android Wear. It's running it's own OS that'll work with a dedicated Xiaomi app.
