I don't want to sound like a kill joy but with so many drowning deaths this year including small kids DO NOT BUY unless you have a proper pool fence/secure yard. These pools should be regulated.

In reply to so many drownings, most of the drownings I read are from in ground pools with fencing too. Sad to hear but doesn't sound like fences fixes the problem so slapping a $2xxx cost of a fence to a $50 pool just sounds stupid…
And on that note, one of the kids drowned in a pond out in the front yard. How come they don't need a $2xxx fence?? Can I use this as a fish pond and not have a fence?
Seat belts dont save everyone but they do save lives. Pool fences don't stop drowning but they do prevent.
It's dependent on depth;
If a Victorian residential pool or spa has a depth of 30cm or more (300mm), it is required to be surrounded by safety barrier. This includes inflatable pools.
Assumedly the fish pond was less than 30cm. And unfortunately, it doesn't take much for a child to drown. :(
I don't have any small kids, so if I can find one I should be fine without fences.
