  For someone who knows close to nothing about NFL or American Football, would it be particularly difficult to learn to play the game?

    its actually quite complicated tbh with u.. but not all that hard to learn.. i kinda wish games were more simplistic in a way, like the old days of fifa and nhl, now u have to dedicate 30 hours just to learning how to play any game which is kinda a chore

    I have no idea about the rules but Draft Day, The Water Boy, Any Given Sunday and Varsity Blues are some great movies.

    Very easy game to learn (makes for good multiplayer), but takes time to master.

    There's probably a short youtube video that can teach you the rules.

    Not sure about this version, but Madden's core gameplay has been the same for over a decade.

    I'd say it depends on how interested you are in learning about the sport as well? I got into the NFL after visiting the states a few years ago (having had zero interest in sport prior) - seemed like whenever we were knackered from a long drive there'd be a pro or college game on to watch.

    I used Madden to help build my understanding of the actual game, especially the different types of plays they run, and in turn enjoyed Maddden more as I watched the game and started following a team and players who I could then use as I played!

    Honestly its not that hard on offense. Either run the ball or throw to an open reciever by clicking the buttons. On defense all you have to do is let them throw it amd click one the catch buttons .I got into the sport after playing for my local club, Monash Warriors.

  Does anyone know if sport games like this usually get any cheaper, now that the season is over?

  I know NBA 2k16 was a PS+ free game a few months ago before they released 2k17.

    Madden usually drops once the regular season is done, and then gets a final cut once superbowl has been and gone. Can't speak for PS+ freebies, but it'll probably end up in the EA Access pass thing in the next month. (Madden 15 was in by March, Madden 16 was in early Feb)
