Dewalt Bluetooth Radio Adapter $3 @ Bunnings Warehouse Mt Barker SA

980

So I went in to Bunnings to get the $49 XU1 mower. They wouldn't price match so I decided to grab a couple of other things I needed when I saw these behind the counter for $3. There were at least 3 left when I bought this one.
I finally found a deal no one else had posted yet.

From the Dewalt website:
"FEATURES

  • Stream music wirelessly to a radio from any Bluetooth device
  • Works with most worksite radios and any radio with an Aux in port
  • Up to 100 feet range
  • Mounting clip temporarily/permanently secures adaptor to your radio
  • Up to 8 hrs run-time
  • Rugged and durable design to withstand tough jobsite conditions
    INCLUDES
    (1) Bluetooth Adaptor
    (1) Mounting Clip
    (1) USB to Micro USB charging cable
    (2) Adhesive Strips
    "

Cheapest previous deal I could find was $15.92

Let me know if I missed anything

    Sausage sizzle?

      Via drone.

      • mmm…sausage drone.

        • @mafmouf: Is it real or did they make it up?

          alternatefacts

        • @Diji1: imagine basing your court case around a precedent set by the white house that you believe strongly in alternative facts and the police prosecutor is using fake law

        • @Diji1: Real or fake, I'm not surprised.

At $3 you should have broden'd it

Yeah. Smashing deal, but it fails the quantity test I'm afraid

Yeah. Smashing deal, but it fails the quantity test I'm afraid

Not really as other stores will often price match. I've never had a problem getting them to price match.

Considered it but I figured I'm too lazy to bother reselling and this way someone from here can hopefully snap one up. At least then I've contributed after years of bargains.

Looks like the other members of the Funky Bunch miss out then :(

    Nice find!

Worth it just for the USB cable to be honest.

3 bucks for a USB cable? Is it braided?

      • -1

        No, it's a 20c one.

        • so, NOT Worth it just for the USB cable?

        • @Mintynovember: No it's not. It's definitely worth it for the receiver though. I got it for $15 the other day an it was worth it.

I've seen these come up a few times now. How would people rate the audio quality on them vs other bluetooth receivers?
I got a Sony MW600 for my music and perhaps presumptively, I'm thinking they've bothered to put a good DAC and amp in them :P

    • Yeah obviously cuz tradies are such audiofools!

  • Could I stream music directly to a set of speakers ?.

    • +1

Not without an amplifier of some type to drive them.

  • +2

These are very good can stream music to any aux plug. I use it in the van to stream music from iphone.

  • Mt Barker is my Bunnings! I hope they have some left!

    • +1

They're at the service desk with all the power tool batteries etc
Let me know if you get one.

  • +4

Good first post. I wish Masters had been a success. An effective alternative to Bunnings would be welcome.

For those in Perth… according to the guy at Melville looking on his computer "deleted line" and none at Melville, Cannington, Osborne park, Balcatta…

  • +1

    Totness Bunnings :P

    • +1

Hah true. Although it's called Mt Barker Bunnings on their website.
It's Mt Barker Bunnings, located in Totness with an address of
" Corner of Mt. Barker Road & Princes Highway
Little Hampton SA 5250"… talk about hedging your bets

  • Cheers will try to find one

I'll wait for Ryobi to release one with DAB+ support

    • Yes, would love one that has DAB+

    • You took the words right out ^of ^^my mouth..

      • It must have been while you were kissing him.

        • +1

Christ, instant reply. Are you watching us? Take a photo it'll last longer you filthy animal!

        • so what's that taste like then?

        • @gizmomelb:

          Chicken.

  • None in Moorabin or Vermont South

  • no Bluetooth phone.

    • +3

Then you're probably not the target market for a Dewalt Bluetooth Radio Adaptor

      • They could use a laptop perhaps?

  • Does this do the reverse, eg plug into an mp3 player or something with audio out, and stream audio to bluetooth headphones? Or is it only one way?

    • +1

Just one way as far as I know, it's a Bluetooth receiver not broadcaster.

    • why not MP3 your music onto a smartphone (or tablet, if using at home), then bluetooth transmit the audio to the bluetooth headphones?

  • +1

Anyone know another tool shop that will price match the receipt?

  • +1

found at Bunnings subiaco WA, but it was $10

    • $10 is still an awesome price, good to know there are still some out there.
