Hi all,

I'm a huge fan of these watches. Genuine Skmei and excellent build, perfect for youngsters and/or people not needing a typical circular watch/fitbit type watch.
Here's one I bought for my daughter last month. I've also bought them for friends, friend's kids etc.

  • They are waterproof, almost indestructible and have a really strong magnet locking mechanism that can be adjusted to fit almost any wrist.
  • Weight is ~15-20g.
  • You are able to program time, date and stop watch - all of which is sorted by pressing a hidden button at the front of the watch.
  • Battery is a LR1225 which can easily be replaced but is probably going to last 2+ years anyway.

      Even the Aliexpress seller doesn't try and BS by calling this a fitness watch. It's just a cheap plastic digital watch with the time strangely separated on 2 lines. But wait, there's more, it's a cheap plastic bracelet most of the day and only displays the time when you press a button…but don't try that when the watch is wet…

      The waterproof depth is up to 30M (Please Don't Press Any Key Underwater)

    Available for under $2 on Ebay from literally thousands of other places at 1/3 to 1/4 the price. They are also available in Australian retail stores for less that your price.

    PS: There is no "genuine" about whatever brand it is, these are a generic item.

      Sorry, I might be somewhat wrong on my previous comment.

      I just noticed that Imgur linked photo in OP shows that "SKMEI" is moulded into parts of the watch.

      So that means that it's more than generic. However, considering how absolutely useless the SKMEI ones are, you might as well just buy a unbranded one at 1/4 the price.

      I'm not saying this is the case here but there's the theory that some members are posting a whole heap of cheap/rubbish products just to increase their post count and give themselves the more perceived credibility on OzBargain. This is then used to represent other no name stores with their deals full of marketing hype and BS in order to earn some kind of commission.

      I'm sure it wouldn’t be easy to set up but I'd love to see some system in place here where members posting as associated, who have no other association other than posting on a store's behalf on OzB, provide some kind of visibility of the payments/benefits they're receiving for their posts.

      All this is insignificant however as this is not even close to a deal. Negging as product is available much cheaper elsewhere. Some examples below

      AUD5.28 at Banggood = 34% cheaper

      AUD6.79 at DX

      The time is NEVER visible.

      Check real photos, not photoshopped ones, and you will see. The OP linked to photo of the watch they own one in the first post, see top left image.
