  • From what I've seen, it's about as cheapest as it can get for a very decent layover return. Would've got this if I hadn't already booked via BYO at $600 for about 3-4 hours more on each trip.

    • BYO?

      • byo Jet

  • is only one hour enough to transfer?

    • From what I can observe they should be flight staff waiting for you at the arrival gate to escort or at least direct you to the departure lounge.

    • If you have check-in luggage it may not make it.

      • I think it should be fine. A hour transfer is fine in only a couple of airports in the world - one being Hong Kong, the other being Singapore.

    • If it's bookable, that means it is a legal stopover according to that airport. The airline WILL get you and your luggage to your destination. They would not allow bookings that short if it wasn't met by a large percentage of travellers, as it would cost them a LOT to always be scrambling to get you onto another flight.

    Gangnam style!

  • Late Sept-Early Nov: BEST time to visit Korea weather wise

  • Spend a few days if you can in Busan, was there last week. A little quieter than Seoul but still lots to do, great city. Haeundae Beach is a great area to stay in. The KTX from Seoul to Busan goes up to 300km and only cost $58.

    • And the train is smooooth and quiet as no less joint of rail.

  • What about North Korea?

    • Taking risk of your life?

    • Good luck getting a flight from South Korea to North Korea :) You can always take a very easy day tour to the DMZ, loads of them running every day!

  • Heading there in 2 weeks for $360 courtesy of Virgin due to pricing stuff up months ago :D

    • I am in Korea now courtesy of Virgin as well. I can get literally everything - food, coffee, drink, karaoke etc within 100m of where I am staying and it's Wed 2am!!

      • thats real city life lol
