As I would on a non-rooted device. There were no issues for my just downloading from Google Play Store, installing and running.
@the69thhokage: I don't no man, the 7-eleven fuel app is using googles root detection thing. Can't have a unlocked bootloader or custom ROM installed, even most china-droids are failing the check. Can't even hide root access anymore, try running root checker and check if your device is rooted.
@JustASmoothSkin: My Note 2 is rooted and works fine. I just click the temporary unroot thing before I open the app.

Tried the melt the other day, not in a rush to do it again. I'm not sure what they have done wrong, but it is imho
Maybe use some of their liquid sugar.
The proportion of coffee to ice cream is wrong… So it's such an awkward temperature. And it is way too dense, doesn't melt - but floats around in lumps. It's quite gross.
The melts nice but i find the setting on the machine a bit crappy.. instead i do a shot of espresso (short black), then top it up with hot milk - little hacky, but its much tastier imo :-)
The melts are disgusting. Not only does the cream take about 4 minutes to melt. By the time it does the drink is a Luke warm sludge.
Yeah it really doesn't make sense to me.
By the name i presume you let it melt however the lady gave me a spoon with myen and i pecked away at it instantly, was a nice icecreamy coffee
Agreed, I honestly thought I was doing something wrong. IT's more like a liquid. Looking at the picture I thought it would be more a thick/creamy type thing.

I think just doing a shot like an affogato would be much better, it's more like a long black with a couple of scoops of ice cream.

I always scan deals first. It's funny when the guy at the counter asks if I still want the SIM card as if I'm a normal person.
I couldn't redeem the Melt for $1. I scanned the barcode for the melt at 7Eleven and the register still had $2.
I showed the workers it was from today, 15/2/17 but they wouldn't put it through for $1.
Wasn't happy, gave feedback of 1 and not happy on the touchscreen next to the registers.Wish I got the iced coffee as the Melt was disgusting anyway

yeah I tried it and they scanned it, it failed. They said you have to buy fuel to get it to work. I'm like, I'm on foot!? Paid the extra dollar and left!

@Topdog: I don't disagree with you. I don't see 'with fuel purchase only' anywhere… The 7-11 dude scanned it, it beeped and failed. He said its only been working with fuel purchased. It was an entire $1, I'm like, ok whatever.
Came back here, see lots of people saying it doesn't work.
But if you want to challenge it, sure go ahead. The counter monkey can't make it magically work, all they can do it put it through as the wrong product to make you happy. ie $1 coffee.

Yep, I tried to get an ice coffee. It scanned, the guy said it failed so I decided to just pay the extra $1 to not cause a scene. I then checked the app after leaving and the ice coffee deal is no longer there! (I still see the melt one.)
I attempted to use it, the code reduced the price to $0 when they finalised the transaction, so they rang it up as a "miscellaneous services" for $1.
Not intended to only be available with fuel though - offer details doesn't include any condition on other purchases.
Can you use the lock and save to get fuel as well as the coffee offer in the same transaction?

Tried the iced coffee this morning, I really enjoyed it. The voucher was still not working, seemed to scan and make the 'beep', however, price didn't reduce. Cashier said I had to pay full price, I suggested he put it through as a small $1 standard coffee, which he reluctantly accepted.

A few weeks ago their Melt exploded in my car (the lid just doesn't stay on). Several hours of cleaning ensued…
now they have transparent half open slush lids for melt

Maybe instead of pressing the iced coffee button, maybe do two short blacks into the cup and then top up with cold milk.
How do you do the short black? The machines I have seen only have the original Regular, Large, and Super buttons. And then the new buttons for Ice Coffee and Melt.
Maybe there are different machines but the ones I have seen have it for an option under the regular/$1 option.
