Seems like a decent Snapdragon 820 phone for a cheap price and have generally upvotes from previous deals. $10 Cheaper than the Coolicool offer from 2 days ago and that had 8 votes. :)

Don't forget your 9.6% 4.8% cashback from cashrewards!

Edit: Forgot to mention, on the webpage it says: Available on Pre-Order Stock due to arrive on February 24 2017 (Thanks superforever)

  • Do you know if the dual sim is 4G/3G or 4G/2G?

    • 4G/3G,

    • Its snapdragon 820, i expect it to be 4G/3G.

      • Apparently it should support 3G according to their website. But is unconfirmed. There is a little discussion of the 6GB model here: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2549971

        • Hopefully can be confirmed by somebody. If it is 4G/2G the dual sim is basically useless. Telstra has already shut down 2G and just got an email from Optus advising the shut down of 2G in April-August as well.

      • I am using one and pretty happy with it. 4G and 3G are working perfectly on this phone with optus. I have tried vodafone which is also working fine.

        • Hey maani, so just to clarify, you get 4G on one sim and 3G on the other at the same time yes? Voda and Optus still has 2G, best to try with two Telstra sims and if they both work at the same time means it is 4G/3G.

  • This or the redmi note 3 pro?
    Any advice?

    • I would go with this only problem is this thing is 180g

      • That's really not much considering it's size.

      • Thanks

  • No OTG, no micro SD :(
Otherwise impressive specs for the price

    • +2

I don't know where you get that info from but I'm using one right now and OTG works fine.

      • Thanks for correcting me, nice to know that it does, it's not mentioned anywhere in the specifications. Btw, since you have one, does it have google play installed?

        • Yes, just flash the International/ Indian ROM. Everything is in English and only a few Indian video and shopping apps that can be uninstalled.

        • @HandsomeMonkey:
now something for me to consider, having Google play or keeping the warranty

        • @bonz:

Test the touch screen and finger print sensor before you do anything else. A lot of people seems to have problems with it. I didn't have any problem at all.

Paid about $350 for the Rose Gold 4/32GB nearly 6 months ago. Love it, though the colour is a bit girly..

        • @HandsomeMonkey:
          thanks for the heads up

  • thanks for sharing

  • This phone is excellent. I am using one on optu, 3G/4G works perfectly fine, I was using Galaxy note 5 before, no problem shifting the phone and most amazing things are the screen quality as well as the sound quality which are amazing.

  • 3100maH + 2K screen is not a great combo in my experience (LG G3)

  • Anyone know if any issue with malware etc installed on these? Not too familiar with buying Chinese phones and that is one thing I had heard

  • anyone knows what is the difference between X820 and x829.

    • x829 > X820.

      • Thanks In what terms. i.e. why do you say it is better.

  • +1

Apparently they are the same, just different models cater for different regions and maybe there are differences in the network bands.

x829 has the American firmware, x820 is the Chinese version.

  • Just pull the trigger because I saw the comment on Banggood about the X829 being the American version. Lets hope Google is pre installed .

  • Ordered one, see how it goes.

  • My phone has been shipped (got a shipping confirmation), not track able yet. Let's see when I get it.

    • That is got nothing to confirm that it has been shipped.

I got the same confirmation on the 22nd but saw no change in the tracking status. Checked with Sing Post today, they still have not received the item from the sender yet.

      • Same with me, it is just a "Notification of shipment confirmation" without any shipment being made. Got a shipping confirmation from Banggood, without anything being physically shipped.

        • Looks like it has been finally shipped now. Can see it on Singapore post tracking. So on 1/3 i can see an item which they claimed to have shipped on 22/2. Hopefully i receive it early next week.

    • Just got mine. I picked EMS delivery and it was actually hand over to me by our DHL guy. Impressive!!

Transferring data now from my almost dead iphone. Initial impress is good and will see how it goes…..

      • Just received mine today afternoon too, had picked the EMS option as well.

  • My one is coming by DHL as well (opted for EMS delivery). Hopefully get it tomorrow. It was supposed to be delivered today, but nobody turned up.

  • Phone looks good for the money. Didn't like their OS, so changed over to Lineage OS. Running good, except the Fingerprint scanner, which is a bit of hit and miss. Also the 2K screen uses a lot of battery, but the charger is good i.e. charges it quite fast.
