        • @altomic:

wanting to know the answer to "are these MFI certified cables?"

Apparently you can only find out by private message or by making an appointment to come to their office…

I wouldn't be surprised if their lawyer will be there to vet the conversation…

  • +2

Oem non mfi cables can be had for less then $2 from australian sellers with better feedback https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152383493645
"Seller" deliberately being deceptive and misleading (counts gumtree for feedback?!?)
Refuses to answer simple q about mfi.
Jv going to town on them.

    • -1

It is a MFI certified cable. The reason we do not reply to Jv is that the keyboard warrior often has more follow-up questions which would be better dealt with in person or over the phone. However it is OEM branded and not Apple branded.

The Australian Sellers on eBay are using Australia Post letter system to send these parcels out which is unethical. Australia Post has a strict condition that letters can be a maximum of 2cm, these sellers are not following those rules and thus risk the sender or receiver receiving underpaid mail notices.

      • +6

Its a simple question that he asked at the very start of this thread if these cables are mfi or not. You deliberately have avoided this question until now. Answering it much sooner would have resolved more then half the problems in this thread. They aren't keyboard warriors when asking a simple and very relevant q to the item you're trying to sell but deliberately refuse to answer.

Google 'Chajju' and we're the 4th hit… OPs site doesn't even come before that šŸ˜‚ I'm sure this will end well for OPs business

      lol…

This thread will be No. 1 link on Google before long…

I really hope it does! Since OzBargain, we've had an influx of customers coming through to us ! Thanks to the support of those customers and the kind messages we receive !

Sure you have… ha ha ha…

Did you put a down payment on the new Mercedes? ha ha ha…

          Reported as off-topic

Oh no… Now the world will end…

    • At the end of the day, we don't make profit out of it, we've been trying to stay alive for the last 1-2 years to keep people employed who were employed since launch in 2012. If the majority of our loyal customers don't want our service anymore, we'll close down :)

      • At the end of the day, we don't make profit out of it,

        Are you are charity?

        • "Yes" or "No" will suffice.

        • -1

@jv: If we were a charity, you'd be able to donate to us.

        • @chajjuau:

you'd be able to donate to us.

Are you saying you are like George Pell ???

        • -1

@jv: How is this relevant to the iPhone USB cable bargain? Our cables have just run out of stock as we received our last order! Anyway, now that the cables have run out, please go hard on this forum, I'd like to answer all your questions.

        • @chajjuau:

How is this relevant to the iPhone USB cable bargain?

You said you are a not for profit, and I asked if you are a charity… You raised the topic, not me…

        • -1

@jv: We never said we were non-for-profit. Please read more carefully. Being non-for-profit and not making a profit (aka making a breakeven) is two different things :) - I strongly suggest you leave me your contact details to contact you back or have a face to face meeting with me.

        • @chajjuau:

We never said we were non-for-profit.

Yes you did, it's in your post above.

"we don't make profit out of it"

          It is in writing…

        • @chajjuau: "Yes" or "No" will suffice.

What launched in 2012? Coz that wasn't 'Chajju', it was some other business of yours.

And just before 2012 you ran another company, and ran off with peoples' money.

Seriously how many companies have you run?

        • -1

The issue prior to 2012 which was solved was due to supplier closing down and not drop-shipping orders to customers. As it was close to Christmas and New Years, we had a hard time finding another supplier however managed to ensure every customer received a refund + the product. It was late but it arrived. Since then we sourced additional funding and changed it to a company structure with shares, we went through a name change and found interviewed suppliers before speaking with them. That organisation was great for us, however since September 2016, we've been looking at starting a boutique into watches and have gone through another re-structure, name change and rebranding moving from ZenCart to Shopify.

All our customers since 2012 (and the small customers) prior who signed up to our newsletter have been informed about this change

        • @chajjuau:

Sure, we believe you… We believe everything you say…

        • +1

          @chajjuau:

A lot restructuring and name changes. I'm starting to see where the problem lies.

Also, I asked a very simple question. why would you need to advertise a $2.50 cable on Groupon?

        • +3

          @Finarfin:

A lot restructuring and name changes

          A bit of a pattern emerging, that's for sure…

Also, I asked a very simple question.

Apparently they won't answer simple questions unless they are done by private message.

        • @jv: Thanks, and so do our customers which is why they continue to shop with us. Our analytics report that 61.2% of our customers shop with us again. This is above the industry average for mobile accessories, we hope to improve these statistics for our watch business!

          @chajjuau:

so do our customers which is why they continue to shop with us

I doubt very much that is true based on your attitude here.

        • @chajjuau:

Our analytics report that 61.2% of our customers shop with us again.

97.9% of statistics are made up…

        • +1

@jv: JV , 127% of statistics aren't made up. quit the pessimism.

        • @altomic:

-45.2% of statistics that aren't made up, really are made up.

          I'll add

"This is above the industry average for mobile accessories"

          to make it more believable…

A quick search on eBay reveals that you can get MFi lighting cables from eBay (within Australia) for under $10 shipped without any discount codes from sellers with great feedback and who don't appear to shy away from confirming whether the cables are MFi or not..

    Examples:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LOT-Genuine-Apple-iPhone-6-7-Plusā€¦

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MFI-Certified-Apple-Lightning-Datā€¦

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1X-3-6-10ft-MFI-Certified-Apple-Lā€¦

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-MFI-Lightning-USB-Charginā€¦

    • -1

We will also get that many feedback one day!! Thank you for motivating us!

    • I forgot to add: the above links are to items that come with a one year warranty

      • -1

This is fantastic to see there is so much competition out there, we look forward to competing with them on iPhone cables! Let's bring Apple, Kogan, Dick Smith, Big W and Woolworths to the mix as well and let them know that eBay is cheaper and customers shouldn't shop with them and shop on eBay instead!

        • +1

yet you haven't got a single item listed on ebay at the moment and haven't sold anything on bay in the last 8 weeks (completed item search on ebay only shows, at most, the last 8 weeks)

        • +1

If you're trying to imply your business is in the same league as Apple, Kogan, etc then I applaud you on your success though I've never heard of the chajju brand until today.

My point is: there are heaps of better and cheaper options from online sellers with no established brand history or brick and mortar presence, like your business. Your attitude and responses throughout this forum have been very poor and unprofessional. I can see I'm not the only one turned off. Good luck to you in your endeavours.

  • Out of Stock… how convenient!

    • -1

We only had 50 left in stock yesterday sorry! We do have a batch of flat noodle cables coming soon! This will also have an OzBargain discount along with deals on Groupon and LivingSocial!

      • So this isnt an OzBargain special….

        • OzBargainers will get 50% off and Groupon/LivingSocial will have to wait to see what the price is - unfortunately we can't release deals on their channels until it's up on their channels!

        • @chajjuau: i guess it will be our loss if we miss out on those deals

    • Out of Stockā€¦ how convenient!

They worked out how to edit their web page…

  • +1

According to OzBargain rules, this store should be banned from OzBargain within 24 hours.

    Performance-Based Store Bans

A store will be banned if deals posted by representatives continually attract a low amount of votes. The system will ban a store if:

The 2 latest rep posts are 30 days or less apart, and
The vote average for the store's rep posts over the last 90 days is less than or equal to 1
Note: the latest post will be allowed 24 hours to collect votes before vote averages are calculated.

    • +1

Yep hence why this post wasn't taken down :)

  • +2

So what is the list of unknowns about this deal thus far ?

Is it a genuine Apple cable? (as implied)
If not, is it MFi? (seller has difficulty with "Y" or "N" keyboard keys)
Is this company a not for profit? (they claim they don't make profits)
Has the rep put a deposit on a Mercedes based on the number of sales? (contradicts previous item)
Why do they sell $2.50 cables on Groupon?

    have I missed anything?

  • I sense this is another fake news

  • +2

Every now and then some mob post some "special ozbargain deal" like this.

The rep hangs around and does silly things like in this post.

    99.7% bull*hit spam rubbish.

  • Please note due to our legal threats policy, the rep account and store have been banned. If you need to get in touch with the company please contact them directly @ [email protected].

    • Are we allowed to know what their threat was in regards too? All good if you can't disclose it :)

Having read through the thread, the most damage seemed to come from the rep themselves - from what I saw, users were asking reasonable questions which they rep insisted on ignoring.
