for people who take their birdwatching seriously

For that price it would want to see through clothes and walls.

      • I know of serious hunters that spend a lot more than this on binoculars. Mine are only worth $400 but they do the job :)

      • I run a pair of Leica's.

The optics are truly outstanding after suffering two pair of cheaper binoculars over the years. Worth it ? Absolutely not but the difference is truly astounding.

It's like high definition "movies" sometimes you're better off with the standard definition quality binoculars.

    • You people have stigmatised binoculars at the beach.
I am too embarrass to bring my binoculars out for recreational purpose.

how does it compare to the $29.90 pair? Is it better if I buy 40 pairs of the cheaper one, stack them together and the bird i'm watching will literally be touching my eyeballs?

  • Bad Carl Zeiss after care support from this buyer's review.

  • There seem to be surprising good binoculars being made in China now - e.g. these Vanguard 8x42 Endeavour. I've bought 2 pairs for partner/kids to use. They aren't as good as my Swarovskis, but unless lighting conditions are difficult the difference is marginal - and the Vanguards were ~$300 on sale, the Swarovskii were $3k.

I find the Chinese made ones better then my Swarovskis, maybe I'm using them wrong?

  • These one's are quite good (model is a little old, but the difference compared to the monarch 7 isn't all that much)
