  • Looks like it's $10 cheaper than the best price on staticice, plus the free shipping the deal isn't too bad.

I bought a hd5850 in march for $370. I'm surprised that they haven't come down in price more since. I'm still waiting to get another one for crossfire but they are still way too expensive for me to consider getting another one yet lol

    • They've actually gone up in price, I bought my 5850 Powercolor card in June for $315, now it's gone up to $345.

Now that the AUD dollar is strong again the prices will probably fall soon-ish though.

    • I bought mine in February for $375. Last month I was thinking of getting one for cross firing but it's still so expensive. I guess if you want to crossfire, it's more economical to get two 5700s.

Any special deals for mid range cards??

      • Brilliant, was going to get a HD 5670 last night, but held off..
        Saved $20, happy with that..

        Thnx Camione!

          • @camione: I paid via Verified Paypal, any idea of delivery time??

            • +1

@kingmalgoo: The normal processing time is 1-2 working days once the payment has been confirmed, which means it will be dispatched by Friday 06/08/2010 at least.

              • @camione: The site says that the payment was confirmed on the 5th, but it wasnt sent on the 6th..

  • seems decent

any discount codes for a further $2 off or such when using paypal? ;)

  • Happy to see 9289 on OB again.

The HD5xxx series are fantastic (I own a HD5770) but the value for money / bang for buck card seems to be the GTX460 these days. I would definitely check some benchmarks and prices on that before purchasing a 5830/5850.

The 58xx use less power and do have some unique features (Eyefinity for one) though.

    • We are still waiting for the new stock coming for the GTX 460. It is a good graphics card. Use much less power than the old GTX 465 & GTX 470 but get similar performance.

But for the StarCraft II, the ATi cards are the safe choice since that game might overheat your graphics card as reported.

  • ATI very recently added a beta driver for radeons to enable AA in Starcraft 2, the overheating can be fixed by a minor manual patch

  • i have an ati 5750 not overclocked and i run sc2 on high no probs.

  • can you please get the silent cell version of 5750 at affordable price it will be very popular, everywhere i looked its overpriced

    its this one

  • Think you can cut down the price of a CPU Cooler?
More specifically, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus.
EDIT: Who cares about that, I just got one elsewhere. :D

  • Isn't the 5870 listed there for $479 the same one that was $419 + postage the other day?

  • I was looking at the 5750, but as far as I can tell the overclocked version has a VGA connector instead of DisplayPort. Why would I want VGA…

  • with gfx cards in crossfire…does it only work if it's the exact same model? i.e HD 5870 can only crossfire with anothher HD 5870?

Good deal, I just purchased a XFX 5770 for $200. If I could have got an over clocked 5850 from Gigabyte for this price I would have.
