    That stair needs a handrail.

    • +2

      Yep, already breaking AS 1428.

    • Then you wouldn't be able to see the DYSON.

    beating harvey norman by $2

  • Everywhere is now this price.

    Remember this too http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/DiscountDetailsDisplayView?code=%25+Off+Promotion+W17+36+G7+Dyson+tool+kit+GWP+(text)-10978006&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&productId=10921035

  • Just remember this is the less wider (slim) head. If you want the standard one, you should get the cord-free model http://shop.dyson.com.au/vacuum-cleaners/handstick/dyson-v6-…

Buy a Dyson V6™ Cord-free Handstick vacuum and receive a bonus tool kit valued a $99 via Dyson. Redeem online at www.discoverdyson.com.au/purifier..got this msg on davidjones website..

    • Thanks for pointing that out.

Yep, I see that link on the left hand side of the product page:

      http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/v6-slim-hand…

However, the link (whether DJs provided the wrong link, or the Dyson website changed) seems to be invalid

    • Sorry, I am getting a page not found

    • +1

      Correct address - http://discoverdyson.com.au/promotion/

Appears it's only for the Cord-Free variant though.

    • Seems the correct link is the /promotion one, but looking at the terms it's for a different model than the one on sale here (218109-01)…

Maybe the DJ link was for an old promotion?

      • Was thinking the same thing? Says its only valid for "V6 Cord-free".

        Can anyone confirm?

        • I can confirm, I entered the serial for my new V6 Slim.

"That is not a valid serial number or your model is not eligible for this promotion. Please try again."

        • Yeah, Dyson website also shows the correct model eligible for the bonus:
          http://shop.dyson.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=V6
The DJs website has the offer on the wrong model.
So the question is, is the Cord-Free model for $388 a good price as it comes with the bonuses?

        • @aoiro:

Well the tool kit is "valued" at $99. So $388 minus $99 = $289, so you are effectively saving $8 considering the V6 slim is $297

        • @bharrop:
"Valued" is the word here. You'd be paying an extra ~$90 for the bonus stuff that you might not need but you get a wider head.

        • @aoiro:
Looking through oz bargain history, Dyson quite often have 30% off accessories, so gonna go with 'not worth it' for the cordless "deal".

        • @bharrop:
          Sounds about right

        • +2

@aoiro: Don't think many would turn down the chance to get more head

        • @aoiro:
But what about the difference between cord-free and Slim? It seems just the size of the motorhead

    • Kinda related: can these tools be bought individually from anywhere? I haven't looked too hard, but I've only ever seen full boxed Dysons around.

I'm probably not the only one looking for a spare, so if you don't need any of the tools, try dropping them on eBay - you might find a buyer!

better to wait for absolute to fall under 450$ again!

    • +1

Not unless you need the slightly larger (by 4cm) motorised head, the mini motorised head, the fluffy head and the HEPA filter. Otherwise, just get the Slim.

  • is this different to the one bigw sells?

    • Yes, different colour and name. The origin Big W sells comes with one less tool.

  • To a person who's a bit sleepy atm, that image looked like Princess Leia in her Empire Strikes Back/Bespin outfit doing the vacuuming.

Don't you wish you could stay in that hazy state forever? ;)

      • LOL. Reminds me of another time I was half asleep whilst in the passenger seat of a mates car. Saw what I thought was a hot chick on the side of the road and started perving. My mate told me it was actually a middle to old age lady. I told him that at least I was seeing what I wanted to see. He saw nothing wrong with that.

  • How does this compare to the Vax Cordless Slimline Pet?

    • The Vax one isn't as strong in terms of power and performance, vax has its small advantages but if both are similar price, I would recommend the Dyson unless the trigger hold on the vax is a key factor for you.

      • I was going to get the VAX if I couldnt get a deal on the V6 Slim Dyson. Head size is similar to the Dyson. My mate bought a VAX VX51 and loves it. I missed out on the $99 deal at Target and couldnt justify the $189 RRP. But now got the Dyson, glad I held out :)

Purchased from David Jones (click and Collect) $299 - cashrewards 6% cashback = $281.06

I can also confirm http://discoverdyson.com.au/promotion/ is invalid for the V6 Slim

"That is not a valid serial number or your model is not eligible for this promotion. Please try again"

    Still a great deal IMHO.
