Used these guys once under their previous brand 'Fixed Price Car Servicing'.
Had a good experience that time and have booked again with them for Monday.

They are basically an aggregator for car servicing.

They are changing their name to AutoGuru and have sent out an email with a 10% off servicing offer.

  • No deal for me. Did a quick quote on my car oil change service (2006 Accord Euro)and the prices were around $180-$200??? I can get it done in a normal shop, full price for way less.

  • I don't like websites where I have to put my personal details just to get a quote.

I can see the benefits of this service if you're not mechanically minded- Fixed price servicing is great.

    • I put in my details for a quote. Received quite a few emails and sms from the mechanics and the website over the following weeks.
Cheapest quote received from site was over twice the price of my local mechanic for the same work.
I would encourage potential users of this service to make a few calls to check if they are actually getting any sort deal.

  • I have a 2011 Honda Accord and the quote for a 90k service is approx. $220. Does this sound right?

    • You're better off saving your money for the 100k service.

      • 80K is the major service on the Accords. So that seems reasonable for 90K.

        • Timing belt?

        • +1

@nocure: Accords don't have timing belts. They use chains.

Oh 80K is major mostly because of the valve clearance they 'need' to do.
