I just bought this digital deadbolt with lifetime warranty for $79.99 from aldi. https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-25-…
It's Honeywell brand and looks good quality. I'd be interested to see some reviews as to how these others compare. The aldi one is pin only though, no RFID if that matters.

    • Got one from Aldi and already install it. So far so good.

Will this burn your house down?

I came here to be diss'd and pointed at and I reckon I'm gonna be.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU SHOULD DO STANDUP MATE!

    • I hope not mate!

  • Thanks OP, I'm looking for one of these. Anyone got one already or similar have any feedback? Thanks in advance.

I've been using shs-2920 for 6 months, really well built and easy to install. You can order extra keytags on ebay as backups if you lose the original one, and the good thing is RFID keytags are dirt cheap on eBay. Got mine on Ebay shipped from Korea less than $100 with the 10% off code, it's worth every cents.

  • I think these are very cool and useful, and 100% would put one on my door if I owned a house, but surely you'd want keyed entry as a backup plan?

    • +1

SHP-DS510 has back up key, so I went with that one. Both have 9V terminals on the outside for backup power in the event that the main batteries are dead.

    • Depends. I thought might as well go totally keyless - why keep the option if you're trying to go keyless? Plus then there is no other option for those who know how to pick or "bump" mechanical locks.

      • that hair though…

I have been using samsung digital lock for over 3 yrs now, quality is top notch.

My door faces west, so gets a huge amount of sun light in the afternoon, and it hasn't faded a bit after 3 yrs.

the lock gives plenty of notice before battery runs out.

Me too. I love it when I leave home I dont have to worry if Ive locked the door or not,and if theres a fire the kids can just open the door instead of looking for the key for the dead bolt

    • The auto lock function is pretty cool. We were recently robbed, door was accidentally left unlocked, hence why the auto locking is appealing.

    nvm, Great deal

  • Update, went to Bunnings Rockdale and got the 510, no problem price beating. Had 3 more in stock.

  • Yeah I have one of these now for 2+ years. Managed to lock in a few tradies and house guest because they don't know how to press a button to open the door lock. Saves so much time and really is 10x better than the old keyed locks. lol

  • From the look, no key is required to unlock from inside?

  • thinking of getting one, but the 1 star review on amazon turn me down… [on product SHS-3321]

  • How do these compare to the August Smart Lock for $249?
    https://smartnester.com.au/product/august-smart-lock-keyless…

  • These are excellent quality. Have has a 3321 for 4 years and it hasn't missed a beat. Wouldn't be without one… Ever.

Thank yoou OP, Just went to Bunnings Warehouse to get 4 of them by price beat. lol

    • Haha, how did they take that?

      • They checked the site and lucky it's free shipping Austrlia wide. Then they overrided unit price and paid for all 4 :-)

    did I need one, no
    did I buy one, yes

    am I glad? Yes

  • Those who bought the 510 model. Is the mechanical key bump proof?

    • I believe it is bump proof, though I can't find that stated anywhere authoratative other than what appears to be an extract from a Samsung catalogue hosted on Samsung's Malaysian dealer's website: http://www.samsunglock.my/assets/samsung-door-lock-ds510.pdf

      • Thanks for your reply. I was reading the manuals for both model. The 3321 model has out-of-home security function which the 510 does not have. As per the manual this disable the inside open/close button thus preventing any intruder going out. But it does not state if the manual knob is also disable.

Anyone who bought the 3321 can confirm this function.

  • We've received the following message from digitaldoorlocks.com.au:

To Whom it may concern, We are the appointed distributor for the Samsung Smart Doorlocks and would like to advise to close/expire the deal related to the Smartnester price beat. Smartnester is not an authorised distributor for the Samsung Smart Doorlock product and is not currently stocking the product. The site and owner have also infringed on copyrighted material available from Bunnings, and action is currently being taken. They cannot provide a warranty that is honoured by us or Samsung internationally. We'd suggest that if OzBargainers are purchasing from Smartnester instead of Bunnings they are not getting a warranted product, and that those customers may also be knocked back at Bunnings as of tomorrow. Thank you for your time, it's a great site and community. Our sincere hope is that no one has purchased directly from Smartnester as all products are tracked from factory to retail channel and they will not be able to receive full customer support or parts in case of a fault or installation issue.
Kind regards, Andrew Digital Door Locks

Looks like the Smartnester website and Facebook page is down, we've marked the deal expired and as Digital Door Locks have mentioned you won't be able to get Bunnings price match any longer.
