i'm really just interested in the camera. any chance of a cheaper price without the bundle? ;)

drop the crap and drop the prices to $299 and $449

      • +1

The Dash Cam itself is priced at $359 on Future_Online at Ebay. They are currently having a 20% off so it comes down to $287.2.

        Hope this helps!

        • Not really the same thing this is a 32GB camera with a Power Magic Pro that is just a 16GB camera.

        • -1

@autoss: It's not, and I never said that it is, but taw was only interested in the camera hence I am just giving others another option.

    • I got my Blackvue 2CH cheap as chips through Sparesbox for $458 and they do afterpay meaning you can pay it off over 4 payments
      DR650S 2CH front and rear
But also got 10% cashback through cash rewards

      45.80 cash back458
Ended up costing me $412.20 shipped
pretty happy with it so far and using a 128gb card

Could say this bundle is quite good though the Power Magic Pro is worth a fair bit on its own so I can see no issue with the deal
You won't find these cameras much cheaper anyway, they are rock solid top notch products

      • already have a pmp which i don't even use.

        • They are good for recording when parked
I know they had a free promo on a while back

Either way, you wont find it cheaper
These are high end dashcams not junk so I can justify the price

        • @shawncro 222: yeah, i know what it does; i actually bought a dr650gw from them that promo lol. i don't like the idea of the dashcam draining my car's battery and have a different setup for running it while parked, therefore don't need the pmp.

        • @tdw:

So you do realize it has a low power cut out mode to stop your battery draining
Completely contradicted yourself with the comment above LOL
its simply hardwired and provides peace of mind when I am out shopping or parked in my apartment block carpark

Either way thats your choice not to use it, I have been using it for 7 months, never had an ounce of problems

Happy with Blackvues support as well

@shawncro 222: lol how's that contradicting myself? i know what the pmp does but i don't want my battery drained by the dashcam full stop. is that too technical for you?

what's up with the hard sell anyway when i already have one?

        • +1

          @shawncro 222:
I hope you realise that the voltage cut off is too low. I had a PMP on my car and accidentally left it on while I went away for a month. Came back to a flat battery. The only thing I liked about the PMP was the ability to turn on/off the camera, so I could turn it off when I parked at home so that it would not impact the car battery overnight.

          I now use a Cellink B.

      • We have ZipPay they give you $1000 credit interest free!

    • I paid $406.18 delivered for the 650S-2CH from DWI using a $10 coupon. It seems they no longer stock BlackVue though?

      • their blackvue pages still show up on google search but the actual page is 404

      • I believe they imported themselves so you got no local manufacturer warranty we are an authorised dealer.

Personally I would wait for Street Guardian to release their Dual Cam set up. Personally I'm running a BlackVue DR650GW-2ch with Cellink B and Lexar 633x 128gb microsd at the moment as I bought my set up last year. Admittedly the Cellink B is much more expensive than PMP but it's peace of mind knowing my dash cam is running most of the time and not draining my car's battery. Cellink B will also shut off when temps in my car hit 70 degree celcius, which in turn off my dash cam so it's not tring to operate outside of its operating temperature range.

exactly why i don't use PMP. at least someone else gets it.

  • Hi,
I have the 1ch and now realised I need the rear camera. Any chance to get the rear camera only? thank you

    • +2

I don't think the 1ch model is able to convert to 2ch even if you were able to buy the camera separately. The 1ch models are missing the port.
You'll have to sell your 1ch and buy 2ch again.

  • I'm now onto my 2nd failed dr650-2ch, both failures have occured whilst in park mode (I have it wired into my car battery via powermagic pro), failures are probably heat related, both failures after prolonged warm to hot weather. Both failures are after 8-10 months, I am now being asked to pay for latest repair (will be going through comsumer protection to get it repaired).

I give these cameras a big fat zero for durability, work fine when working but forget it long term in Australian conditions with park mode.

I would recommend staying away from this product if you want to use park mode or getting super extended warranty repair. $450 for 1-2 years of life is a rip off. For driving use only, no problem as you will have air conditioning in hot conditions.

    • was it the camera that failed, or the pmp?
Did it just flat out not work anymore, or just wouldnt go into marking mode?

      • Camera is a complete failure (for second time) blue light only, not booting up. Nothing wrong with pmp, pmp has worked flawlessly and is still working.

First unit shipped back to blackvue WA, replaced with a new unit (ie different serial number), now that unit has failed.

        • Wow ok, I've had mine for 6 months so far, so hopefully I don't run into any issues. I have the newer 650s model, though.

        • @0lllllll0:

I hope the 650s is ok too, my other car has that model…. but due to my experiences I have disabled park mode on the 650s by simply not using pmp just cig lighter socket. I bought 650s before my issues with 650, regret that decision now
