  • I went to the surfers paradise kiosk when on holidays. As they say you have to try everything once.

    • if you go near closing you can usually get an extra one or two for free.

just give it a year or so as the hipster overpriced doughnut fad dies out. then you'll be getting alot more free

        • +1

I suppose, but it's been a few years now.

        • @PVA: ive only noticed it last year

it takes time for the virus…i mean "trend" to spread.

  • Where's the email?

    • Its a targeted offer, you need to be in the inner circle club

Yeah but can't someone post the URL to the email or screen cap it?

Or put another way 3 doughnuts for $13.40. These doughnuts are $6.70 each.

    • +1

Yup…And aren't that good either. World Tower sydney shop closed up after a few months

      • +3

agree Krispy Kreme is much better

        • Well that's a bridge too far.

        • DT isn't actually a donut though, it's more like a scroll.

      • But qvb and the galleries shops are open.

    • have they increased in price, was always $6 on the coast here?

      • Yeah just recently, past couple weeks.

        • They've pushed the price too far now. just near them in surfers is another that sells similar but churro style, heaps of fancy ones and cheaper.
there also used to be a dicks donuts that sold the same things (actually better I thought) and were around before doughnut time but they shut down - probably because of the price.

        • +1

Nothing to do with the name "dicks donuts" ?!?

  • good donuts but definitely overpriced. i'd rate them over KK, but below blue star donuts and mr donut (japan only). the salted caramel one is decent

  • I can see doughnut time following the same path that froyo did. These fads don't last long in Sydney

Always long queues at Doughnut Time. I sometimes wonder if these queues are artificially created by intentionally slow service in order to create an illusion of busyness.

But they do have some good stuff. Last time I had a vegan jam donut I swear it weighed more than a can of coke - enough for two sittings - so the $6 cost isn't as absurd as it might first sound

    • A little bit of both to be honest, depends on the shop though

  • +2

Eh, i prefer doughnut bar anyway, something about doughnut time that i just can't get into.

    • Maybe you're just more into bars?

    • doughnut bar is far superior

  • +2

Putting the ugh back into donuts.
