"The differences are purely accessories" Slim has narrow motorised head vs motoroised head of the regular V6.

Also previous discussion in past deals here

    • Narrower motorised head.

Fewer accessories than some of the other bundles.

      Different coloured tube.

    • Some guy asked this on their FB page: "What is the difference between "Dyson v6 slim" and "Dyson v6"? Are they the same?"
Dyson reply: Thanks for contacting us. We greatly appreciate your interest in our cordless technology. The main differences between the V6 variants other than color, will be in the power floor tool. Our V6 Fluffy has a soft roller brush that was designed to pick up larger debris off your floors.

That is an absolute (mind the pun) banger of a deal.

Can't recall it cheaper? Happy to be corrected, of course. Anyone tempted by this - I seriously recommend you pull the trigger. Great product.

    • This is the cheapest V6 Slim deal yet, previous deals here. Previous best was $279.20 click & collect or $288.20 delivered. The cheapest for the regular V6 seems to be $277.60 click & collect.

      • +1

good price, probably is the cheapest i've seen for the slim. i put my parents onto the $279.20 deal @ bing lee recently, so it looks like they missed out on a $11.80 cheaper deal. i thought the narrower head of the slim would suit them as they wanted it for their motorhome.

i reckon i got one of the cheapest (local) deals on the regular v6. at least AFAIK. it was when amex had the $100 cashback deal on $300+ harvey norman purchases (back in november). at the time, the standard v6 was $348. so, effectively got it for $248.

  • Bang, Done!

  • Wish there was a good deal on the hair dryer…

Perfect timing, had a request to find a deal on a stick vac last night. Thanks OP!

Is this model suitable for floorboards and pet hair? Or do I need to splash out for the pricier animal models?

    • Totally fine for our floorboards and pet hair. But only seems to last around 10 minutes (on max mode)

So depending on the size of your house.

  • Myer - Gone!
So have to do a CC from GG.

  • Getting This code can't be applied to some of your items. on TGG

    • +1

Do you have an Australian PayPal account? That was the cause of that same issue here.

      • +1

Just figured that out, beat me to it! Thanks Hamza, you are right.
That was my UK account - Aussie one works fine.

  • Thanks OP. got 1.

  • I've seen that the narrow motorised head is 4cm narrower than the regular motorised head, not what's the actual length of either of them?
    4cm on 35cm isn't an issue, but if they're only 15cm wide it's a bigger deal.

  • Thanks grabbed one plus a Chromecast from GG.
Will get TRS refund as well :)

Taking it to Hong Kong, much cheaper than what I can get in HK.

    • Surely there is a Chinese version of this that you can buy across the border from China at half the price?

  • So I finally picked one of these up today. I thought I'd try my luck in-store, as I received a Myer giftcard for Christmas from work. The deal wasn't online only, was able to process in-store as well as use the giftcard, $170 delivered :)

Worth a go if there is a Myer near you and you have received a gift card for them. I was told there was plenty of stock, but this was around 1300 on the 27th.

    • Did you get it for $299.00 or $269.10? I phoned a Myer store earlier today to see if they would match the $269.10 as I have a gift card to use but they said they couldn't do it. I was only going to purchase at the lower price.

      • I got it for the "on special" price of $299. Having the gift card brought it down to $170. Better off using the C10 coupon if you don't have a gift card to use.

As I mentioned, worth trying with your local Myer if you have a gift card available to use, as you can't use them online.

  • Are the accessories interchangeable with other recently built Dyson sets?

  • Does it qualify for the bonus offer if purchased from TGG?
    http://discoverdyson.com.au/promotion/

    • I think it has to be a v6 cordfree hand stick. Another variant of the v6. TGG -$388.

      • MPN 219229-01, same model with the one advertised a bonus tool kit in JB Hi-Fi
        https://www.jbhifi.com.au/whitegoods-appliances/vacuums-floo…

        • JB Hifi link said it earlier today, but not anymore!

        • ITs actually product code 218109-01 as stipulated in Dyson's t&c promo.

Let us know if you're successful with one other than product code 218109-01

  • Last year I bought a v6 but this year they all change to V6 slim, V6 cord-free & so on. Just wonder if the v6 cord-free is similar to the 2016's basic v6?

  • +1

Thanks I Got one. But I don't know I really need it.

    • You'll find a use for it.

      • it has a plastic hanger, so maybe wall ornament?

    • if you see some dust/rubbish/small particle on the floor, try pointing this towards the said rubbish and press the trigger. It will then suck the rubbish in by air and you won't need to manually pick the rubbish up by hand.

When the container get full, it also has feature which allows you to open the unit so that you can empty the container before start using it again.

  • Does anyone know how long it takes to fully charge the battery?

    • +1

      The manual says 3.5 hours

    • 20 Minutes of Powerful Suction or 6 Minutes on Max (as per description)

  • Mine arrived this morning just gave it a go on the lounge room floor was amazed how much this vac picked up compared to my old vax vacuum. Fantastic.

  • Got one…many thanks Hamza 23

  • Jumped on it, thanks OP

  • mine turned up the other day, Damn fine little vac.
Replaced a useless Electrolux Ergorapido one .
Amazed at how much dog hair this thing has pulled out of the carpet ( that our Nilfisk home vac also hadnt dislodged )
Thinking we will get rid of the Nilfisk now into the garage and just use this thing in the house..
