  • hmmm 2 sales or 2nd anniversary sale ? are you a rep for them ?

  • God prices, but should note that the minimum shipping fee is $15 from here. SO its not that great unless you were already ordering something from them or buying a big ticket item such as the speakers.

Also the deal seems to be Online only which sucks.

$18 postage for a USB Flash drive to Sydney? Surely a joke?

edit: thats not fixed either, add a mouse it's $25 postage (wouldn't even weight 250grams).

I wasn't going to NEG this, but having to sign-up just to check your postage cost is intolerable these days.

      • +2

        Wow, that is BAD

        • +3

For those wondering….Postage cost for the speakers alone (To Syd) is $70. Almost sounds reasonable compared to $18 postage for a 5 gram usb drive!

      • why do u need to get delivered?

there is a store in nsw

        • +1

because these specials are online only which means you need delivery in order to purchase

  • +1

Samsung blu ray readers a good deal for $74 including delivery since MSY have it for $89 not including deilvery. $15 postage minimum is far steep tho…

    • +1

true, but i rather go to msy and not wait for it to come to me..

  • GOOD IS SPECIAL IS AVAILABLE F0R PICKUP.. NOT ON POSTAGE…

  • +1

its good for those who dont live close by to places like that jeez

  • +1

I wait sometimes 40minutes to an hour at MSY while 1 guy serves atleast PCDIY is similar price and has 4 or 5 people serving and always very helpful

    • I never wait at MSY when I go at the right time.

  • +1

Good in store sale, but waay poor online sales!
Delivery fee can already get me another half-of-a-comp if I built half xD

  • +1

    postage is too much

  • Are these specials online only? or can be picked up at the store?

    • me too, want to pick up but I think they want make a little bit profile from the postage.

    • +1

Separate specials for online and instore..

      https://www.pcdiy.com.au/price_list.php

None are really impressive, except for the bluray combo drive for $59, but it's online only. So I'll have to pass.

  • LOL some1 got ripped off

  • I'm assuming you can pick up… but I'd like confirmation from someone before I drive down there :|

    • Looks as if they have a different pricing structure for "in-store purchases".

Click link (PDF file) left of page.

      • Just like what I said profit from postage.

    • I called and confirm the online special is online with the over priced delivery fee only. No pick up.. There goes all the good karma for good service but competitive price against MSY.

EDIT: OP please change title to add POSTAGE!!!

I went inyesterday looking for a few bits and pieces… their customer service was terrible like trying to extract blood from a stone… i dont reccomend them at all!

  • I put three items in shopping cart, z5500, 1tb hd and blueray combo, the postage is 99.99 and it is the only option available no pickup even i am in victoria, what a rip off,

  • Postage is a rip off.

  • Lol back in the day, roughly 0.5 year ago they had the transfer pickup store option where if an item was not stocked… you could get it transferred to the store (Auburn) for free and pickup there.. :-( they are good instore and no lines ever and more chance @ getting stock but bad online..

  • THE DEAL IS AVAILABLE IN STORE AT ALL 3 BRANCHES

Guys, I spoke to the website team in MEL and they advised there seems to have been a miscommunication about this promo - the shops think it's an online-only special, but the shop managers are aware it's either or.

I myself purchased the Logitech hub and Laser LS1 mouse at the promo prices. Teach me how to upload my receipts if you'd like to see 'em.

Suggest y'all hurry cuz this ends on Monday. And will a mod pls revoke all the negs.. jeeeezz (I won't deny their shipping's a total highway robbery, though :p)

  • y is the deal ending on monday? on the site it says 2 days only ends on the 8th August

    • if you click on any of the items on the site, this is the first line in its description:

PCDIY Anniversary Sale Special Starts Friday 6th to Sunday 9th August.

although I just realised they've mixed up Sunday 8th with Monday 9th. give it a go, anyway.

$15 for postage on logitech usb hub..not going to even bother..

  • CRAP DEAL!! Not Available In-Store - AUBURN, NSW and they charge crazy shipping charges!

    example - $13 (USB Stick) + $28 shipping to Sydney, NSW….LOL

  • +1

Sorry for the Rant guys.. but need to let you all know

These guys are real bastards, drove to Auburn store just to buy a 8GB USB drive,
was told they cannot sell that and it has to be bought online with a postage of $15.

I would never ever go to these bastards ever again…

    • call the website dude at 03 9480 3899. he'll probably ship it to you free given the experience

    • Sorry that you had to travel that way to find this was online only, what a terribly disorganised deal seems to be a few of late,

What Duty of care does Ozbargain factor in i wonder feels about zero right now

  • i took the last bluray combo drive at the auburn store today. $59 and logitech LS1 mouse for $5
