  • Anyone know the difference in food between the lunch/dinner/weekend buffets?

    • +4

      You have it at lunch/dinner/weekends

    • +1

I have been to buffet for weekday lunch and Saturday dinner for few times,
food are totally difference, weekday lunch is not much difference from normal RSL buffet, even less,
but Friday and Saturday dinners had lobster dish, bugs, oyster, etc,
but never been on weekdays dinner,

  • Has anyone tried?

  • Has anyone tried Shang-ri la or the Sheridan on the park seafood dinner buffet

    which one is the best

    • Had shangrila seafood buffet recently (after not going for a long time), it's total waste of money. I had $100 usd credit on my golden circle account that I had to use, so I got it pretty much for free but still waste of time and money. I would say Sheraton is definitely better

      • Okay so I just made a resavation for this Saturday at the Sheridan hopefully it's a good buffet :)

    • I have tried those, Shangrila is the worst, if you prefer to have seafood, choose cafe opera, but not much variety for other foods,
if you prefer for all, choose Sheraton, they have pizza, curry, even they cook for you,

      • Thank you for that
I was going with Shang-rila but now changed my booking to Sheridan

  • was there on saturday, not particularly worth it, the Balmain Bugs were gone and they doubled up on oysters and prawns. The Crabs were really dry and had more shell than meat.

The hot mains were a bit dissapointing, roast pork/beef were not hot, all the other dishes were dry

    • Where did you go to

      Shangrila or Sheridan

      • im guessing intercontinental…….

      • I went Intercon as per the title.

I was there in Jan 2016 and the food was much better.

  • Been to cafe opera a few times, its great if you are a seafood buff - love your oysters, tiger prawns and lobsters then its def worth it! :)
and this deal makes it much more worth it than the rgular price which is $95 pp.
Friday\sat nights you get the premium seafood range, lobster, bugs compared to normal days.

  • thought I saw a "DOUBLE DIPPING"…

  • How do you reserve for 10 people? Do you still get the special rate?

  • +2

I wouldn't go to Sheridan, last time I went I ended up with the sheets.

    • All buffet hotel restaurants used to be good but now they tried to compete each other to be worse, not to be better, even I can't think about where should I go, star city, no, Centre point, no,

  • Just got back from the intercontinental seafood buffet and it was worth the speacial promo but not worth the full price

Food was great for what I paid for
