This week's Woolworths catalogue had a few half price items from Maybelline, Aveeno and Garnier. When I was in my local store, I noticed that all the Maybelline make-up there was half price.
Clicking on the online catalogue shows the specials had a sub-heading of
1/2 Price All Maybelline Cosmetics, Aveeno Skincare, Garnier Skincare & Facecare
yet doing a search for Maybelline, Aveeno and Garnier mysteriously shows only most items are 50% off. Right….hence my title.
My Maybelline pick would be what was highlighted in the catalogue - the Dream Cushion Foundation with SPF 40 for $13.50. Cushion foundation has been a popular beauty trend in 2016 that started in South Korea - it's basically a sponge in a compact that has been filled with liquid foundation for convenience, that gives you a light to medium coverage and soft dewy finish. Handy for the handbag or for travelling. The Australian ones are made in South Korea.
The product was released last month and so far reviews have been very positive.
It comes in 6 shades but Woolworths only carries 4. It's difficult to find swatches for the Australian shades (different from the US shades) but here's a review and swatch for the 21 Nude shade.
Tip: Go to Priceline or Chemist Warehouse to try the shades before you buy.

Aveeno make some nice 'plain' moisturisers.
